  Affordable stay with clean rooms

  The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. However bathroom facilities are old and lack of maintenance. The housekeeping staff should check the shampoo adequacy as we found that no refill of shampoos during the first arrival day. The receptionist can communicate well in English and she is quite helpful. During our 4days 3 nights stay, foods were almost the same and we were quite bored to eat similar food. Foods were kinda bland taste. The waiters and waitresses here were quite unfriendly. The coffee and tea were finished and the waitress was very rude,mumbling all the way when we requested her to refill. Same goes to the milk which was finished fast by the guests, the waiter wasn't attentive when we informed him. Patong beach is reachable by foot (30mins) or with 300baht for 6 pax via tuk-tuk. Overall, a good stay if you don't mind the food but a quieter place afar from Patong area.

  Budget Hotel

  The resort is centrally located, though not on the main road. The rooms are spacious and the double beds provided in the rooms are big enough to accommodate 4 people. Initially we wanted an extra bed in the room but on entering the room at the 3rd floor, we abandoned the idea of putting up an extra bed. Free wi fi is available at the lobby as well as in the rooms. From the balcony of our room, the swimming pool provided alongside the reception area At the ground floor is visible. The Best part is that they provided a welcome drink to us right at the time of entry at the reception lobby itself. Check facilities are prompt and so was the dining service. But for vegetarians, not much options are available.

  short but pleasant stay away from bustle of Patong

  I was "banished" to Kalim resort because its parent (Graceland) was sold out for the 2 nights preceding my stay at Graceland. I came to Kalim after a 20 h journey from CA, so needless to say I was exhausted upon arrival. It was after hours and the place looked pretty much deserted, but checkin was quick and easy (thank goodness!). A lot of that had to do with my local hosts, who made sure my reservations and transport were booked in advance. I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor, which turned out to be nice and roomy with a balcony view to the inner courtyard. There was nothing special or updated about the room itself, but it was clean and had plenty of amenities for my modest expectations. Staff were largely indifferent, but 1 or 2 of the receptionists were pleasant enough. Complimentary breakfast was buffet style combination of Thai and western food - again nothing special but entirely edible and sustaining. It was 1-2 blks in from the main coastal thoroughfare in a working class neighborhood, but I never felt threatened. In fact, one of the biggest charms to the place was the street food right along the main drag - purported to be mostly Halal with a nice variety. I ate well for $2-3 a meal - hard to beat that! Also, I can't confirm what my rate was, but in checking TA prices, Kalim resort is pretty much a steal for 25-30 US$ a night. 20 min walk to top of Patong Beach, not necessarily all of which had a real sidewalk. Beautiful rocky beach in between Kalim and Patong.

  Pleasant atmosphere

  The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. food was not halal so we could not have our food there, but the good thing was street food from this hotel is 5 mins walk which was very good and near the beach. only 1 or 2 receptionist can speak English, and one of the receptionist was rude. Good place to stay and i would definitely stay there if am travelling next time

  Very nice place close to the beach

  It's not a big star hotel, but with nice, quiet and comfortable location. 4-5 min to close beach Kalim, 10-15 to Patong(by feet, of course). Close by a lot of cafes and bars, 7/11 and chemistry. 2 bottle of water every day in the room, conditioner and tea, coffe
