  surprising nice little family resort

  I was a little hesitant to stay here after reading some of the recent reviews but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. We stayed in a 2 story 3 bedroom town house which was nice and clean. Nice new TV. The grounds are nice, lots of grass, yes a little outdated and needs a little bit of renovation but for the price you cant complain. The pool is awesome, lots of seating and bbqs around the pool. Very kid friendly set up. Nice resort for families. Wouldnt stay here if I didnt have kids though as the pool is understandably busy in summer with a lot of kids. 2 playgrounds too which was a bonus for a 7 year old. No air con in the bedrooms but one had a ceiling fan and 2 fans provided. I think the one split system in the hallway will suffice for Kalbarri summer nights. So far we havent found anything we havent liked.

  Pre Christmas Break

  We visited Kalbarri fir the first time and were fortunate to get accomodation at the KBR. Good location close to Beach, IGA, Fuel, Fish n Chips and the bottle shop. Our rooms were reasonably spacious furnished with all you need. Ideal for a family stay. We had friends travel with us and it appears their rooms were a bit outdated and required an upgrade. Pink Lake 35 mins drive, Natures window 30-40 mins drive, a few good lookout points 5-10 mins away. Worth a visit.

  No WiFi its 2021

  Extremely disappointed with this resort arrived today Sunday 21st February. 1. No WiFi 2. Not advised about the above when booking.... would not have booked this Resort for 7 days 3. Lounge almost sitting on the floor 4. Are these privately owned,

  Tired

  Stayed here Feb 2021 for first time in 9 years and oh what a difference. It seems that little or no maintenance is being done. Broken furniture in the apartment torn insect screens on doors and windows and grounds looking untidy. Also there us red to be shady umbrellas in amongst the sun lounges by the pool but alas no more. I suspect as they fell into disrepair it was decided not to replace them which now leaves visitors with the option of blistering sun or total shade. Such a pity that a lovely resort has been allowed to decay.

  What you need to do in an emergency

  Well me and my wife and 3 year old was staying for 3 nights The location is wonderful and great pool and the staff are friendly thats where the good news finishes The rooms are right out of the 80s the beds are very unbelievable every shelf in the fridge is cracked Then we had a big problem were I had been attacked by another gest after asking if they could turn down their music At witch point we tried to contact the hotel after hours number we called 43 times over 2 hours with no response in the end had to call the police Went to the hotel office in the morning only to see that they only open from 1 pm till 5pm So for the other 20 hours of the day you have no one to contact Pretty poor if you ask me for a hotel that has over a 100 units Would never stay again and never recommend to anyone Very disappointed with management and the owners trying to run such a big complex with no staffing To the owners:( try putting some $ back into the property and having a 24hr reception like most of the others in Kalbarri And it could be one of the best in town
