relaxing place to stayWarm welcome by Julia on arrival. Interested and caring owner Kyle. Room with a superb view on the inlet of Otago Peninsula. Free use of washing machine. Great breakfast and dinner prepared by chef Filippo Morrigi. Wonderful place to stay. Thanks again Kyle!!

Beautiful serene retreatOne of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have every stayed. Had the room in the main section of the retreat which doesn't have the same view as the other two but was nonetheless a lovely room. Food was of the highest quality and simply presented. Was there with three small children who soak up the calming environment and loved the beautiful beaches. Now just scheming how I can get back...

Peaceful Classy PrivateThis is such a cool place to chill and relax in private. This is not a fun park or adventure playground (thank goodness) but its (relative) isolation makes it pretty special. Sitting on the deck overlooking the water, watching the tidal changes with a cold beer in hand is one of life's luxuries. I'd imagine a dip in the water in summer would also be nice but too cold for me when I was there. Its close enough to Portobello and Dunedin if you need supplies but you really do feel that once you are there the world is your own. Friendly welcome and some tourist advice but its the pure class of the people and the place that won me over.

Pure Isolation------This is what I have always been looking for. That one place where you know you are in complete isolation and can literally hear your heartbeat. On a 3 week trip thru AUS and NZ this was my true happy place. Our Host Rachel was so amazing. I kept wondering if she would just let me stay forever. Everything about this place was amazing. Beautifully decorated and outfitted for our stay. We loved the paddleboards and clamming in the estuary. We even were taking quick trips to other beaches to see the seals and penguins but nothing could keep me from the deck and the view. Quick Note do not make the drive around this peninsula in the dark- good luck finding your way around.....

Beautiful retreat with stunning views! This beautiful retreat offers great views. The house is nicely decorated, has good beds and a good bathroom. It is hidden away on the Otago peninsula, but once you have found it, you do not want to leave again.
