  Muy recomendable

  Muy buena ubicación, cerca de los bares, tiendas y restaurantes. Todas las personas del hotel fueron muy amables. El hotel esta limpio y lo mas bonito de los cuartos es la vista. La comida no esta mal, pero no esta tan rica, falta mas selección.

  FANTASTICA UBICACIÓN Y DECORACIÓN COMIDA NORMAL

  En un sitio privilegiado , con los pies en la arena , chaise longe , velas , antorchas, mesas, declaración increíble. La comida normal, nada sobresaliente pero merece la pena para una copa o un aperitivo.

  Excelente hotel

  Si quiere venir de vacaciones a Creta y se decide por la ciudad de Hersonissos, este es el hotel para usted, frente a la playa con servicio de reposeras y sombrilla (9 euros por día) con servicio de bar y restaurante. A 100 mts. de la calle principal, llena de negocios. El servicio del hotel es excelente y empleados cordiales y eficientes, habitación normal, buen desayuno.

  Estupendo lugar

  Fuimos al bar luego de mucho tiempo, dado el coronavirus, y no decepcionó. Muy buen lugar, excelente atención, bonito, bien decorado y cuidado. Si bien es un poco costoso, vale la pena el gusto y pasarlo bien con excelente vistay un buen DJ.

  Wasted potential.

  Our experience with Kahlua Hotel has begun quite poorly. Arrival: We opted for the most expensive option of a suite with a frontal sea-view and a side balcony, however the room we were given at first, had a small side balcony, without a frontal visibility of the sea. Being surprised and convinced it must have been a mistake, I went to the reception and talked to the lady, who insisted that the room we were given is of the same kind that one we paid for (not to mention we were studying the photos of the different rooms with attention to detail, and went with the most expensive one, paying extra to be sure we got the best of what's there). As I failed to convince the reception lady, who by the way showed a lot of disputable attitude, that we're not in the right place, my partner went again and she succeeded to win as what we paid for. However the ugly impression remained from the start, as it's worse than not nice to have to argue for something that has been properly booked, and paid for. The room: The junior suite with frontal sea view has a great potential, with a balcony coming up directly to the sea, giving you impression of almost being above it. However what struck us from the start, was how poorly maintained the rooms are. All walls were dirty as if somebody walked on them with dirty shoes. There was a spider web, and significant dirt on the floors, glass barriers on the balconies were awfully dirty, and general impression we've had was that it could be a much nicer, even a great place if only someone would put a little bit of effort to make it so (please see uploaded photos). Food: Basically the facility is divided into a 'VIP/Elite Beach Bar' and the 'Kahlua Suites'. As guest within the hotel, we were given 10% discount in the Beach Bar, as well as sunbeds free of charge (for others it's 8 or 10 euro per day as I recall). The dining place is nothing extraordinary, however the quality of food served for breakfasts and dinners is far below any acceptable standard! Vegetables and fruits are great, as everywhere on Crete, however warm dishes, meat, seafood, it's something I wouldn't recommend to anyone with a weaker stomach. Even though we've had half board, consisting of breakfasts and dinners, after 2 or 3 days, my girlfriend would not join me there as she couldn't force herself to even try this food, which basically is on a level of a poor-school canteen. I'm still shocked, how hard it is to fail in preparing a simple omelette, and how can you serve food to your guests which looks like done from the cheapest possible ingredients one could possibly get (specially that everywhere the quality of food is rather fantastic). What made us even more disappointed, was that the food served just next to the canteen, within the Beach Bar, was great and super delicious, as we used to eat few dishes every day while staying on the beach. Facilities: There's a small pool, that honestly we have not used even a single time, as we've seen no reason to do so, while having a beach and sea right in front of the hotel. There's nothing else but it's a small and slender place, which is a part of it's charm, so nothing more should be expected in that area. Service: Probably the best side of this place. Right from the front I have to mention Emilia, amazing lady on duty of serving food in the canteen. She engages all the people coming from breakfast and dinners, has great attitude and charm which can make your day better. Furthermore, Matheo, who has been our waiter during days on the beach, also with a sunny attitude, above average quality of service, and engaging sense of humor as well as plenty of advices. Basically these two people alone made our stay there much better than it could ever be without them. To summarize: We both really enjoyed our 1-week long holiday in Crete and Hersonissos, place is beautiful, local people are very nice, warm and show a lot of hospitality! Food is amazing, in all the places we went to, we've had nothing but great dinners. We will surely come back to Crete, however this time we will not risk with a food in a hotel, as in the end we end up going out to eat almost on every given occasion. Kahlua Hotel could be much better than it is at the moment, however it seems pretty obvious that a change of management is more than required for that to happen. It's not a bad place, but not great either, and we think that in it's current condition, surely not worth the money that's being asked for.
