  Great location and view for sakura

  I stayed 3 nights in REI Hotel and its location is great. Just next to the river and we can see the sakura from windows. Also, the hotel is just next to Furusato Food Village and so we can go to have dinner very convenient. Just one negative thing, the soundproof of the room is not quite good and we could hear the noise from other room at night.

  Excellent location n extremely good breakfast

  My friend n I stayed in this hotel for totally 4 nights. We chose this hotel because it's only 4 min walking distance from the train station n bus terminal. It proved that we made a right choice. In between our stay, we took a trip to Ibusuki which is one hour distance by train from Kagoshima n stayed there overnight. This hotel could keep our luggages so that we could only take a backpack with us which made our overnight trip much more easier (in Kagoshima, many small hotels don't provide this luggage storage service). We didn't drive, so we went to different sightseeing spots by the cityview buses. The bus terminal is just outside the train station which again is 4 min walking disfance from this hotel. The breakfast is extremely good. Many choices of Japanese n enough western food. All the food taste so well that we actually were looking forward to the breakfast every morning when we woke up ! Staff were helpful as most Japanese are. If I really have to pick something, it's the room size is not spacious, but it's in the Japanese standard. We had 2 twin beds, n could still have enough space to open up our two big luggages. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I go to kagoshima again.

  Far from train station. Old infrastructure. Firm mattress

  10mins walk from the train station. The hotel provides a variety of shampoos at the shampoo bar. Firm bed. Bad sound-proofing in the room. Firm bed, loud aircon. Did not sleep well. One plus point, there is a tram station outside the hotel.

  Well located

  It is right by a tram stop, next to the river and just 10 mins walk to the railway ststion. I liked how the breakfast had a wide variety of asian and western foods, they provided a bottle of water to each room each day, and that there was a coin laundry on the premises, although I did not use it. They also had town maps in English.

  Japan tour

  Like the other reviews, this hotel is very well located, has the usual, very well trained and very friendly staff, and the breakfast was above average. We would recommend this hotel if the price is right.
