  Excellent service, amazing hot spring pools, a place we will never forget!

  I traveled with my wife and two kids, and this hotel makes one of the best memories of our Japanese trip. The hotel is in classic Japanese style, with luxuriously arranged Japanese garden. My two kids were fascinated by the beautiful fish in the pond that extends from beside the lobby to right outside our room. Feeding the fish became my kids' favorite activity while in the hotel. The service is excellent. Even though most of the staff hardly speak English, they care for customers' need to great details, from carrying luggage to preparing kimono style pajamas of sizes that fit every one of my family. The breakfast is extraordinary in traditional Japanese style. The hot spring pool is amazing. I enjoyed the outdoor pool under the clear sky surrounded by exquisitely arranged garden rocks. The ascthetic experience is unprecedented.

  pricy but dirty

  with this ranking and price , this hotel is only good for the garden. the rooms are dirty. the outdoor hotspring is not bad. the food, and service is good, just rooms are dirty. seem like everything is old.

  Increíble experiencia tradicional

  Pasamos una noche para probar la experiencia de alojarnos en un Ryokan, y nos encantó. El servicio es excelente, la habitación parece un decorado, todo muy auténtico y tradicional. Al llegar te dan un Yukata con el que puedes pasearte por todo el Ryokan. Te preparan el futón a la hora que pides (muy cómodo para nuestra sorpresa), y la habitación tiene vistas a un increíble jardín lleno de carpas. Además, el Onsen (no es mixto) es estupendo, tiene parte interior y parte exterior, con el agua muy muy caliente y sauna. Solamente dispone de wifi en el lobby principal.

  Visually stunning topped with incredible service

  This property is crazy breathtaking and huge! It's surrounded by lush greenery and colorful koi fish that you can feed at the lobby (100 yen/bag) and in the rooms located at the first floor. They offer both indoor and outdoor baths that are open 24 hrs a day for guests. My husband and I stayed one night in a very large room with a rotenburo. The furnishing was a tad outdated but still charming nonetheless. We had a delicious and memorable dinner served in our room. Shortly after dinner, an attendant came and made our beds. The next morning, we had a hearty breakfast in a community room. I tried natto for the first time here. Not a fan but am glad to have tasted it! The staff here is extremely nice and a couple of them speak a decent amount of English so for travelers who speak little to no Japanese, do not fret! All in all, this property is suitable for everyone! Children will get quite a kick at feeding the enormous koi. If you want to explore outside of the kagetsu, however, there is not much around the area. IMPORTANT NOTE: No wifi available in the rooms, only in the main lobby. Phone reception is little to none so if you plan on using internet while you're here, rent a pocket wifi prior to arrival.

  Classic Setting with Modern Twist

  It is very beautiful place. The lobby and gardens feels like you have travelled back in time to classic Japanese shogun house (assuming this is what rich shogun lived like back in the days - lol). Rooms are very nice and service was good too. Slightly pricey but it was a good experience.
