Friendly & secure atmosphere.Clean rooms, good food, quiet friendly setting. Minutes away from downtown Nakuru or the Lake Nakuru National Park. Felt very safe travelling with an 11 year old. Good service all around but some of the waiters struggle with the concept of bringing a glass of ice with a beverage even when asked.

Christians ParadiseMy clients arrived intime for lunch which was properly prepared, the rooms were clean and staffs friendly. with its location near Lake Nakuru National Park, we did not have a hustle in getting to the gate. i will send clients to this hotel over and over.

Could do with renovations..I had hoped that Jumuia would live up to its name, but oh no! I have visited one of their other branches and it was OK for the price I paid. They have very good customer service. The location of this hotel is quite out of town which you really need cos of the noise of the 'boda boda'-motor bikes and tuk tuk services which operate quite late into the night. I stayed one short night here with a group of colleagues who were also quite disappointed based on their expectations. We arrived quite late into the town and checked into the hotel at 10 P.M. I was hoping for a very relaxed night but I did not like the rooms at all, they were old and the furniture quite outdated. The issues I had with the rooms were mainly the blankets, the direction of the bed, the showers and curtains. It gets quite cold at night so 'prison type blankets' don't cut it. The size of the rooms we were given were so small, so the head of the bed faced either the window or the door. The showers needed to be ran for at least 10-15 minutes as advised by the staff, to raise the temperature of the water. I felt quite uncomfortable wasting water so I opted for an early morning shower, which I assumed would have the hottest water but unfortunately turned out lukewarm. My curtains were short width-wise so I was unable to move freely within that space. On the up side, the chef made and packed our breakfast as we left quite early the next morning. I really hope the management of this guest house will do something to improve on the basics, to save water and the name of Jumuia guest house-which is a reputable company in the hospitality industry here in Kenya.

A Good Place on a Noisy StreetIn was here in November 2016 for a two day training on safe obstetrics. The food, the staff, ambience and cleanliness are above average but can be improved. Sleep quality will depend on the room you take. The block facing the busy KANU Street should be avoided at all costs if you are a light sleeper. These street is busy 24/7 with a bus-stop just outside the hotel's rooms. If not the loud-mouthed matatu crews, then the discordant 3-wheeled tuk-tuk noise will keep you awake the whole night. This is terrible when you need to be alert the next day. There is however, another wing of rooms that is farther from the road and delegates who resided there had no traffic noise complaints. This hotel is an alcohol and smoking free area and so ideal for family and anyone else who takes such things into consideration. The staff is friendly but you can sense some impatience when dealing with them - apparently from working long hours. The rooms are a bit small and congested with a poor sitting arrangement - especially if you like watching T.V (they are still stuck with the old analogue sets). If you are guaranteed of getting a room away from KANU Street, then this is an average place for a night or two while in Nakuru. But if you are looking for a place to really relax, then this might not be it.

Lovely Staff,Restaurant,Surrounds;Poor Room MaintenanceA church-run(Jumuia) establishment, so no alcoholic beverages. Stayed here en route to Eldoret for one night each two-ways. Wonderful, welcoming, enthusiastic Reception+Restaurant staff. Although located in an urban area of Nakuru, it was fairly quiet. Lovely lush green surrounds. Ideal for kids to play around, slides, swings, etc, or a coffee on the lawns. Faith meetings in halls upstairs. No lift to upper floor rooms, so chambermaid helped carry case. Restaurant decor, food ordering, menu, service and quantity is good. Sadly, the maintenance and condition of the rooms, is very poor. Cylinder-type door lock not aligned to effect a secure lock; mortise door lock, was very fiddly to secure room door. No room safe, so be wary to lock suitcase, etc. Curtains poorly hung up, look like about to fall anytime. Very small bathroom wash-basin. Shower adequate. Limited channels room tv. A good mosquito net assembly. Friendly gate security and walled compound. Security will assist summoning a nearby tuk-tuk, or boda-boda(motorcyle rider) for transportation needs. Has free Wi-Fi but signals in rooms hit or miss, may have to come to main car parking area. Only from the room security and condition aspect, would not stay here again.
