Correcto, buena ubicación y buen desayuno aunque habitaciones mejorables

    Some plus, some minus

Very easy to reach, as not far away from a train station, very quiet surroundings. From the upper levels, a nice vieuw on the river. Rooms are basic, but very clean, and the beds are excellent. Friendly people at the lobby, willing to help. And the minus? The food hasnt been what expected, only the bread was very good...and the wifi is extremely slow, no attachments to the email could be forwarded, or received

Hope you don't experience the same!

We truly hope that this was just a difficult and stressful week for the staff. Their emails were so beautifully polite and helpful and yet.. on our arrival we only experienced negative and dismissive staff. They just didn't want to help or be bothered. Each time we approached the counter it was folded arms and pouted faces. We were so surprised by this we couldn't understand it and it's taken me almost two months to write this review. All of the staff we met throughout the week were the same, they were short tempered and dismissive. Having worked amongst a very similar industry, it really isn't hard to formalise and join bookings made seperately; yet this just seemed impossible to them. All we wanted was our bookings to join together, so we could keep the same room throughout. We organised this 4 months prior and were told it would be ok and yet on arrival it was like I was speaking to an entirely different hostel. After 30 hours of travelling, you'd think you'd be greeted with " Hello how was your journey! Welcome! You must be so tired!" But instead it was "Hi.?". No good mornings, no happy chats. We were nothing but polite and even on the last day when we decided to speak up about the stresses we had, this new guy that I've never seen before absolutely lost his sh*t at me and raised his voice, then completely ignored me when I answered him (by turning to the computer and typing very loudly!). In Australia we call it "Gobsmacked"... and we truly are speechless about the terrible service we received here. They made the excuse that the festival we were visiting with had a different booking arrangement and were allocated the rooms to use as they wish. How hard is a phone call? It would not have been near as much effort and stress if you'd just picked up the phone, arranged these two guests travelling from the other side of the world to be allocated the same room. If the prices were that vastly different, you could have simply called or emailed us and we would have gladly paid an extra cost to ensure this was possible. 4 months you had to do what you said was achievable. We didn't come to DJH because it was cheap, we simply came to enjoy and be part of the festival vibe; so paying extra wouldn't have been an issue for us and we would have gladly rearranged everything if it needed to be done - however we didn't, because you said it was all 'O.K'. Unfold your arms, put a smile on your face or find a more appropriate job! I just hope the staff aren't like this due to bad management who let the "sh*t flow down" so to speak.

Could be better, could be worse

Stayed here for one night during December 2019 period. Saturday to sunday. 8 friends devided over two 4 person rooms. City center is a 20 minute walk away. Rooms were 'ok', bathroom was clean. Bed wasn't what I hoped for as it was quite hard. There were no plugs or charging possibilities next to your bed, so if you have to share the room with people you don't know, I would miss this. Rooms are badly (sound) insulated. Really suffered a lot from surrounding noise (mostly running children) from other guests. Paid 55/person and had better (or more well thought of rooms) experiences at other stays.
