  Far from Tokyo and disgusting

  This place is disgusting and no where near any cool parts of Tokyo - in fact, it is near nothing at all!! The closest convenience store is 7-Eleven which is a 20 minute walk away. This town has nothing to do, no restaurants or anything at all. The only thing it does have it feral cats roaming and begging around the hostel. The hostel itself is a dump. The shower is unsanitary. There were chunks of mold growing on the ceiling, in between the cracks of the doors and all over the bathtub- I couldn't believe it I was in absolute shock. The hostel owner was aggressive. While checking out (which is 10am) we were running behind because we got lost on a train coming back from Shibuya. We were 10 minutes late checking out and he stood at the entrance of the dormitory to watch us pack and was yelling at us. We've never had this problem at any other hostel ever. Overall this place is a big disappointment. I don't know why anyone would ever want to stay here. Apart from the bacteria mold growing toxic and infested hostel itself, it is not close to anything and it's very hard to access any fun parts of the city and train tickets become expensive. If you are new to traveling Japan, please be advised that the trains do not operate all night either. The trains from the Aoto Station - which is this hostels station stop running at 8pm!!!!. So if you miss the train, the only way home is by taxi and it is very hard to get the taxi to take you the whole way back, let alone a $200 USD fare charge. You do not want to stay this far away from Shibuya, Harijuku or Tokyo. If you can find a place that is an hour walk away for 25 minute subway ride away, that is ideal. Overall this place is terrible and disgusting. Very very disappointed with our stay here.

  Dirty to the extent of being

  Dirtiness!! The bathroom and toliet were not just dirty but DISGUSTING. The owner should understand that there should be maintaned a certain levl of cleanliness otherwise it is not adequate for accommodation. The bed linen was not clean and fresh as well. I believe that maybe it is changed not after every single guest, we were so much disappointed that we had to sleep without taking off our clothes. The wardrobe in the room was full of owner's personal belongings, so we could not put our things there. I DEFINITELY SUGGEST TO AVOID THIS PLACE.
