  I would not recommend to anybody unless you are only interested in the location!

  Location, indeed, is very convenient but other than that everything else they advertise and promise is not valid. The furniture are very old and there is not any part of the hotel that you would describe as clean, not excluding the rooms! The most frustrating thing, though, is that they claim they have an international restaurant operating nearly all day and many other services that you will realise they don't exist at all. They have no air-conditioning and neither any other air circulation system and it's currently 34oC out there. They say that breakfast is until 10.30 in the weekends but they stop at 10. However, when I complained they did bring me some milk, bread and butter to eat. I would not recommend at all besides the convenient location

  Nice and clean

  I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I enjoyed my stay there. The service of the hotel is great. Front desk receptionist are polite. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Rooms are well-remodeled and looked pretty new and elegant. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is very clean and spacious. The room I stayed in does not have a bathtub (not sure if it's true for all rooms there) but it did not bother me at all. One of the cons I can think of is the cigarette smell inside the room. You can tell that they have tried to refresh the air in there, but you can still smell the cigarette in there. But from what I've heard, it's pretty normal in Chinese hotels as they allow guests to smoke inside hotel rooms. Like all other Chinese hotels, if you connect to the hotel's wifi you will not be able to go on Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc. I would definitely come back again if I were to visit this city again.

  Great hotel, price and location

  I stayed here for a week on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is well-designed and clean. Although the hallways were a bit drab, the lobby and the rooms are excellent. The rooms are very modern, and well appointed. Cozy bed, and the bathroom was quite nice. I could relax here. The breakfasts were great - good combination of Western and Chinese food. The only downside is that the breakfast space is a bit crowded and noisy. The kitchen did not have any good vegetarian options, which while standard for China, is a drawback for international travelers like myself. Also, the hotel could use more English speaking staff - there appeared to be only one staff member on the day shifts that could converse in English. The location is excellent - centrally located in Dalian. I could walk around the area safely at night, and found that I could get to most anywhere I'd like to go quite easily from the hotel. I could flag a taxi quickly, while hotel staff could also grab one for me in about five minutes and converse with the driver when needed. I'm sure there is plenty I am missing here, but overall its a great hotel. I would defo stay here again on my next visit to Dalian.

  Joya Is A Joy

  A Zen hotel in the heart of downtown Dalian. Zen design elements are evident everywhere. It's beside the Intercontinental, just off the traffic circle with the big Dalian soccer ball sculpture. Clean, quiet, friendly, uncrowded. A few weeks before Christmas, the lobby was decorated with a charming tree.The rooms are beautiful. The bathroom has a separate shower room and a drying room. There's a nice nook with fake books, a cozy place for writing things like this on a snowy night.

  Worse arrangement

  Book through travel agent. Traveling with family but room given different floor with smoke smell when enter the room. Room key unable to use when scan the lift. Front desk service was bad during check in however the housekeeper was nice.
