  Not 4 star quality (at least by international standards) + slow Internet

  This hotel is "so-so", at best. Rooms are large size. The bathroom has tub and walk-in shower. The bed is comfortable (not too hard nor too soft). However, the room was quite DIRTY -- carpet needed to be shampooed, dirt in the corners, broken tiles in the bathroom. The hallways were also dirty with black marks down many of the walls from suitcase scrapes. Service was just rather poor. Front desk staff never once said "thank you" or "how can I help you". I think I did 90% of the talking at check-in and the couple of times I asked them for help. Bell boy was useless for helping me grab a taxi in the morning. Breakfast staff took my room charge but didn't once come to offer a cup of coffee. Simply, the staff at this hotel seems not to make the customer feel welcome and appreciated. Internet is free but the speed is very, very slow. If you need to get business done, it's better to bring your own MiFi (cellular). Power outlets in the room take both Chinese and US style plugs without needing adapter. Air conditioner thermostat goes to 16°C but my room was still 21°C when I woke up in the morning despite the A/C running all night. There are windows that open but then you are subject to listening to car horns all night long. My colleague booked this hotel. Next time, I'll book my own hotel and just meet him in the morning vs staying here again.

  Decent hotel in Xidan

  It's located in the commercial street in Xidan of Beijing. There are quite a number of shopping malls around and easily access to metro station. The hotel is ok with decent size of room. Hygiene is ok. It has a small gym and a swimming pool. Breakfast buffet has quite a number of Chinese dishes which u can treat it as brunch. Everything is ok except for the slow wifi. There is an iPad in the room but I can say it's useless, as the wifi is in slow speed, lots of apps are not updated, etc. btw, the flushing system is not too strong and u have to be patient.

  For the price and location, this hotel is it!!

  Extremely safe area, attached to a mall you couldn't traverse in 2 days, walking distance to forbidden city, huge rooms, indoor tropical garden and coy pond, great views! Beijing is known for history, not luxury. There was a bit of mold in the caulking of our shower, but you're a liar if you say your shower at home doesn't have any, right? LOL If that is my only complaint in Beijing, then I am in a pretty good place! There is also a subway stop right next to the hotel, so ease of access to the rest of the city and the airport is excellent. Pearl Market, Temple of Heaven, Temple of Earth, Tiananman, Forbidden City, transit to the great wall, All Crucial!! While in Beijing, look up Vivie Tours as well, she will get you from your hotel and give you the best tours you can imagine!!

  Fine choice

  Went for a business trip and stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The plus points as most reviews have shared - the hotel is located in the financial district and it is very accessible to the offices, shopping mall, tourist sites and train station. Ideal for business trip and tourist. This hotel is not new and you can find stains everywhere and even on the toilet bow seat. Although the hotel states that its non-smoking within the indoor premises but the room I stayed has very strong cigarette smell. Stayed on the 10 floor and my room is facing the cityjoy mall and gym; the distance is so near that the shoppers and gym goers can look into my room when curtain not drawn. Also find the room a bit too noisy and if you plan to have a good rest over weekend in the room, do hope that there is no wedding luncheon / event in the hotel. The noise will sneak into your room to give you the stereo effect as you are in the event itself...haha Overall hotel service is a still fine choice in Beijing (for its location and price) with clean room and decent services.

  Nice place

  We stayed for 3 nights on the back end of a business trip. The room was very nice with COLD AC. The breakfast was just okay. Some of the food was cold when it should have been hot. The connected mall offered lots of shopping. The Butcher Shop resturaunt on floor 6 was very good. Excellent burgers, potatoes, wings, fries and steak.
