Nightmare in the Fourth of JulyFrom the moment we stepped into our room, we were harassed by the man in the room next to us. There is a shared balcony by all rooms. We stayed here because the view of the river and the promise of great fireworks show. We were super excited to stay there and enjoy the night. The night turned into a nightmare. As soon as we stepped out on the balcony, we were confronted by a man who was drunk, smoking, and walking in and out of his room. This man was walking in front of our room smoking, knocking on our window, and creepily peering in our room. He was very loud and even opened our sliding glass door. We locked it, thats when I called the front desk the first time. I explain my dismay with the confrontation of this man and his constant chain-smoking and the young lady at the front desk told me, oh its OK to smoke on the balcony. When we checked in, we were told no smoking in the rooms, no smoking on the balcony and that it was strictly enforced. My family members are allergic to cigarette smoke. Thats why we asked if it was non smoking. Front desk said that they wont do anything about it unless they get a complaint. I told her I was making a complaint and They did nothing. No air conditioning so opening slider is the only option but not when you have a drunk man smoking and trying to open our sliding door. This man was very loud through the night, in which neighbors were telling him to shut up and he was yelling back, I dont have to shut up, get in my face and see what happens, and very confrontational. I dont believe anyone could enjoy the fireworks on the Fourth of July with that drunk talking over everybody, and getting into everybodys business.weve called several times to the front desk and they said all we came checked on it and theres there was no problem. As the neighbor started yelling at him for ruining their time he finally went into his room smoking. He ranted throughout the whole 45 minutes of the fireworks show. Terrible management.

Extremely thin walls; no AC; not COVID-safe.The view is truly the best part of this place. Unfortunately, the sliding glass doors step out onto a small cement strip lining all of the other doors with a plastic chair in front of each unit. No AC either means you keep your sliding glass door cracked or boil in your room -- as a woman traveling by myself I absolutely did not feel safe there. There were loud men staying in the room next to me who stayed up late and woke up at 6 with booming voices. After that first night I went to the front desk to ask to be switched to a different room, but the receptionist said that wasn't possible since her cleaning people had already left. There were empty rooms in the resort. I tried to explain that I didn't feel comfortable asking them to be quiet on my own, but she didn't seem to care.

very pleasantly surprisedMade a last minute booking as a break from my longer than expected drive down 101, and wasn't expecting more than basic accommodations, but this place is a hidden gem. Very spacious room looked recently renovated and spotlessly clean, with an outstanding view of the river and seawall, pleasant enough to linger extra time in the morning just to enjoy the comfort and view. Room had very ample supply of towels, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. On site restaurant was also a nice surprise- I ordered carry- out to eat in the room- everything was excellent. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip up the coast, and basing here for an extra day to enjoy the area. Hotel is pet-friendly. Only negative was noise from adjoining room, but not a big enough issue for me to lower my review.

Awesome viewWe stayed in the penthouse, a three bedroom, two bath, large living room, dining room and full kitchen. View of bridge, river and waves at the mouth. The penthouse is being upgraded, floors were new, furniture was new, I would stay again. Staff was nice, the large deck afforded a place for dogs to be outside, the large lawn area gave us a place to walk the dogs for exercise and potty area.

3 towels 2 people 5 daysRented a king room for family Sept 22 for 5 nights. They provided 3 towels and no additional coffee, no cleaning, no beds made. NO NOTIFICATION THAT WE WOULD NOT RECEIVE TOWELS, COFFEE OR CLEANING... I have called 4 times and Sammie the manager refuses to call me or refund me 25% of the costs to cover lack of these things. I emailed twice. I posted on here and "owner" says he will have manager contact me. Btw look in window on left side office entry to see styrofoam coffee cups and dirt. Entry is nasty. 4 employees sitting around when I picked up key. I rented room as a gift so family was hesitant to share their problems they didnt want to seem ungrateful..... Fix this or call yourself a motel room and not a resort.
