  Wonderful holiday

  Ideally centrally located hotel next to main lift and slope back to the village. Cool and contemporary stylish hotel, with nicely furnished and laid out rooms. There is a great rooftop spa where you can relax in an outside jacuzzi looking at the skiers last run of the day. The food was of a very high standard and gluten free options very tasty. But the overwhelming selling point of this hotel is the staff. Everyone from the chambermaid to the front of house staff was cheerful and couldnt be more helpful. Really enjoyed my stay made and would definitely return if I have the opportunity. They were

  Great Location, Amazing Staff

  We stayed in this (Adult Only) Hotel for a week at New Year. Amazing staff who fell over themselves to make our stay wonderful. Food was excellent and the restaurant service was incredibly friendly with perfect attention paid to our requirements. Not over-attentive at all, just right. Location was excellent, just a very short walk to both cabin and chair lifts. The weather was exceptionally bad whilst we were there and so I spent a day in the hotel using the gym, having a wonderful massage and relaxing. My only niggle would be the size of the boot room which was too small at peak times. All in all though a perfect way to see in the New Year. Thank you to all the staff for your friendly efficiency.

  Skiing with friends

  Booked this hotel as having been to Obergurgll a few times before as other hotels were fully booked this hotel fitted the bill as one of our friends did not ski so the spa area and pool were perfect for her . The hotel was modern with a fresh feel to it ,the staff were all very helpful and attentive and the hotel was well placed for the slopes and apres ski. The rooms were adequate in size but the bathroom was not soundproofed and all manner of noises could be heard. The restaurant was excellent with our waiter Zoran very good , as always in Austria the food is excellent with great variety and fresh salad and fruit always available . A good week and would go back again without hesitation.

  Simple Review - We've booked again, enough said, As 200 characters is the minimum for a review here are some more characters; The Josl is a fusion between typical Tyrolean design and the contemporary with good food, nice room, great location, nice spa, bar and excellent staff.

  Really bad choice at this price level!

  The worst hotel, I haved stayed in during my 38 years (3-4 times a year) of skiing in Austria. Some of the lights in the room are not working, the curtains are so modern that they don't even dim the incoming street light. The room is rather small for an Austrian hotel. The 3rd bed in the room is so lousy, I would not offer it to my worst enemy, let alone my daughter. Dinner and staff are good and friendly however. Please note that I am usually not very critical but this room is a disaster.
