Nice hotel with good locationPosthotel was a nice experience. Friendly staff and it felt as if they had lots of staff. Nice welcoming reception where you had afternoon Tea (included) if you came home early from the slopes. Quite small room (at least ours). We were a family and were missing a place to sit altogether in the evenings. Great food, 3-course dinner with multiple choices between fish, meat vegetarian. Very nice wellness-area. The skiing in Schladming was good. Maybe not great for kids but alright for beginners. You have a steep slope towards the village.

Perfect Location and A Lovely ExperienceWe were on a walking holiday in the surrounding area with Secret Hills (an excellent travel company based in Church Stretton). Because of flight delays four of us were quite late in arriving. We were warmly greeted by Frau Steiner (Marina) who had kept her kitchen open and her staff made sure we didn't go hungry with some lovely cold plates of meat and cheeses. The food and service throughout our stay was outstanding and we cannot thank Betty and Luka enough for their cheerful, very efficient, friendly attention. We had a large very comfortable room and bathroom and the Hotel serves beautiful breakfasts and first class evening meals - we can't wait to visit again! Schladming itself is a lovely city ideally situated and is a short trip to the famous Dachstein, an experience in itself.

nice hotel in centerVery good hotel in center of Schladming (pedestrian zone). Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendy. Food is excellent. Planai (cable car station) is 300 m from hotel. They don't have any entertainment for kids.

Skiing holidayStayed with my family. Good location, good food and service, we had half board. Room was good size, clean and modern with comfortable bed. 5 minutes walk from planai station. Would go there again for holiday.

Hospitable, pleasant, and over 300 years of history.Traveling with a family of five, we decided to stay here during part of a low key mostly rural trip. The town is clean and upscale, and the hotel is well situated and has very convenient parking behind hotel. The rooms were of adequate size with balcony and comfortable beds. No air conditioning was a surprise for a 4 star hotel. Spa facilities were clean and not crowded. We elected to purchase half-board, which I would not do again since, although the breakfast was remarkably good and abundant, the dinner was disappointing. The hotel website demonstrates very artistic dishes, but we as half board enrollees were not only segregated to a separate dining room, but the food was consistently mediocre, and the portions very small. Be sure to purchase drinks so you are not charged 9 euros for tap water. The Summer passes included were very helpful in obtaining substantial discounts, and with kids I strongly recommend the nearby go carts mountain descent. In total, I recommend this hotel, but I would eat dinner elsewhere.
