  Great value, recommended

  Hotel is in great location, surrounded by shops, food, and on the main bus route (East St). But finding location may be problematic- Jinjiang inns are a chain therefore ensure taxi takes you to corner Yinma and East St- hotel is a few metres down East St. Rooms are heated/cooled, spacious and clean with all facilities needed, including LAN internet (wifi in restauarant and lobby), TV, clean white sheets and doona. The bathrooms are clean, large and hot water constant. Everything looks and feels new. Nice cafe for great Chinese-Western breakfast buffet and simple dinners- great if weather too cold or windy to go outside. Only negative is the window does not offer a view. Taxis available around the corner.

  do NOT stay here

  Located on a noisy street with windows that don't close completely. You enter through a lobby of distrustful "ladies". Every corner of the hotel reeks of stale tobacco. Beds are hard. Breakfast OK-ish. If the hotel was priced around RMB50 and you enter expecting say 4hrs sleep max then it would be OK. Paper thin walls and nosiy short-time clientele. Avoid

  A little below average for JinJiang chain, but not the worst

  Location was good and staff, though limited in English, we're fairly helpful and trustworthy. I didn't have any issues finding the place - our taxi driver knew exactly where it was. We just pulled up a map of its location on the iPad for him. Wifi was great in the lobby (not available in the room). You pay a 200 RMB deposit for incidentals - don't worry, you will get it back. I've stayed in another JinJiang hotel before and the other one was much newer, nicer, AND cheaper. This one kind of looks like a laundromat in front (fluorescent lights and all) and the rooms were a bit drab - it was clean enough (note that most China hotel rooms smell like smoke, it's kind of is expected). Only, the thing was, their washing machine was actually broken so we couldn't wash our clothes. Staff was really apologetic and showed us a place to go for laundry. Overall, I was okay to stay here as a stopping point before heading to Lhasa. A side note about the train to Lhasa: it leaves from the Xining West station (don't go to the Xining station by the bus stop...it doesn't exist because it looks like they are constructing a new station). Taxi to the train station will take about 30 min.

  Great value

  A typical convenience hotel with the bare essentials. There's only wi-fi in the lobby, which is basically a small area with one sofa and a vending machine. Rooms were clean and spacious enough. Only gripe was that the windows couldn't be opened fully and there was only central air-conditioning, which meant that the room got pretty warm at night. We had to ask for a table fan. Very conveniently located. A great place to stay if you don't plan on camping out in the room much.

  ...el precio fue un chiste por lo barato!!!

  Cuando reservé este hotel, quedé preocupado de su servicio y comodidades pues el precio que cancelé era demasiado barato. Pero apenas llegamos, nos dimos cuenta que formaba parte de una cadena de hoteles chinos -de distintos precios- y que aun cuando era barato, sus habitaciones y baño eran muy cómodos, limpios y de buen tamaño. Estuvimos alojando varios días allí y poco hay que decir en contra, salvo que nadie hablaba inglés y menos español, por lo que comunicarse era muy difícil. Hotel recomendable, en pleno centro de Xining...
