  Good value choice

  I like the Jinjiang hotels. They're a good value 3 star choice around the 200 yuan mark. Nothing great, but the rooms are just what you need to spend a night (or two) on the road. The double beds are not rock hard and big enough, the room is just big enough and it has the necessary amenities (A/C, water cooker, tea and free water) and the bathroom has a seperate shower. This particular Jinjiang is not in a great location, but it has a fairly good chinese restaurant on the ground floor.

  Good cheap hotel

  For the price of this hotel, you really get a pretty good deal. They do have a license to host foreigners and the staff was very helpful as well. I speak very minimal Chinese and they were able to help me do everything I needed to do. The room was a little bigger than I expected and most everything was clean though I did find a pile of cigarette ashes on the floor between the beds. Check out was easy and it's in a very convenient location.

  Ok for a short trip

  The rooms are very large, larger than I expected. But they do have an awful cigarette smell. I struggled with this as I'm asthmatic. The bed was comfortable, and it is conveniently located next to underpass in road and close to bus stop, and places to shop. Lots of yummy restaurants near by, one down stairs in the lobby which will serve breckie as well. (Tho it is traditional Chinese menu, which I found strange as it does say registered for international travel lots so assumed they would serve western foods as well). Staff were helpful.

  Near the Grand Mosque

  Hotel location is right opposite the muslim cluster of shops and eateries, very convenient for us. The interior is clean and reception welcoming. The front desk officers were nice ladies who tried their best to do translation on their app given that they do not know English at all. Hotel has 7 floors. We were given the corner room which is spacious so not too sure if the rest of the rooms are similar to us. Room came with the essentials and WIFI signal is strong but as usual, remember that the Great Firewall is still enforced. They did not include a fridge in our room though but a fridge at the reception is stocked up with drinks (& a cabinet of essential items undergarments, creams etc) for you to purchase. On top of that, you can also stock up on your drinks at the shop next door. Few metres away, a convenience store is available as well. Highlight should be the convenience access to the Grand Mosque and muslim street which serves all kinds of halal food - one will not go hungry in this area. We loved the bakery shop at the end (or start, depending on where you entered it) of the street, it was deco-ed and painted with Paris emblems and although it turned out to be just another bakery, the baked products were really good that we ended up going there daily. We picked this hotel due to its relatively cheaper price and did not expect much but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience in the end.
