  Jetset could be comfortable but it's not

  The room had AC, fridge, TV , pool in a bad location, parking in an inconvenient location.. Place looks run down.. The Worst thing... A window to the hall in the bathroom.. Light pours into the room all night long.. No way to darken room.. Breakfast included .. On site restaurant serves ok food.

  Comfy and clean

  Staff was always available to help. Rooms are clean and comfortable, simply furnished. Superette is a minute away and the beach and nightlife is a five minute walk. I really enjoyed the local Fijians, they would invite you just to sit and talk. Very sweet. Good value!

  Very poor needs major improvement

  Unfortunately this hotel was one of the most poorly maintained hotels I have been to. The air conditioning works but it sounded like a freight train, the free wi-fi didn't unless you stood on your head by the door. Breakfast well let's just say don't bother with breakfast even though its included. Shocking service once again I came across fijian ladies who clearly hate their job. The food was basic, half missing and you can't get anyone's attention to fix it. Honestly you can do much better elsewhere.

  Ideal

  Simple, clean rooms. Fridge, air con, balcony hot shower, bath, wardrobe space and desk. Supermarket next door. Didn't use the swimming pool but could see it from our balcony. Close to the airport so ideal for staying before/after a flight. Can organise transfers with staff for a very good price. Free wifi. Friendly staff.

  One week in Hell....

  Upon arrival at the airport, no pickup as requested!! Greeted by the Lovely Fijian staff at the reception was the only nice part there of the week. Owner was an ignorant indian guy who didnt even say hello as we passed & we originally thought he was staff! Went into our room, had to be let in as the key would not work,floors where dirty bathroom disgusting and wardrobe broken and the room smelt badly. Asked to move & in room two, again the door key would not work so had to be let in!! Went in & to say the room was a renovators dream would not be a lie(&this was a premium room??) we are used to roughing it but please, does the manager not have any standards?? Into the bathroom & in the bin was rubbish and the bin was rusty, the shower curtain was mouldy and broken & the sink also... I could go on but it gets even worse! The pictures we saw advertising this hellhole dump must have been from elsewhere not here! Out onto the balcony & we had one chair for two people a rusty table and nails etc sticking out everywhere! Looked out at our ahem view&it was a building site where the carpark should have been, workers sitting around wating lunch & then a digger turned up & a jackhammer was turned on at the entrance of the hotel as the workmen started to demolish (not a lie),the front of the hotel, upon asking the so-called manager he said nothing to apologise or even attempt to let his guests know what was happening! Even worse to come... Having moved rooms yet again, (3times,3days)we resigned the fact that we were in Gordon Ramsays Hotels from Hell!! We had booked this online & were to get a shock at ahem, breakfast, was to be a light continental offering. What we got was something resembling an egg meant to be fried tho not sure, two slices of tomato, dried undercooked toast, a quarter of a banana(grown over here) & a piece of lettuce??? Oh & a cup of hot milk(later i discovered this was powdered milk) to use for our cup of tea or coffee!! Yuck!!! The "Restaurant" was actually the "Games room" it stank was extremely dirty the chairs old and no effort to clean anything tables cutlery etc. 3 days in a row we got the same chipped mugs(we thought maybe they would get better but no!) none of the cools etc where fiji so maybe this is acceptable in india but we were holidaying in Fiji so expected a little more but again the manager didnt seem to care! We stupidly agreed for him to organise a day trip big mistake we imagined a beautiful beach nice aircon car etc, what we got was a dirty smelly car & taken to a rubbish filled beach which we then had to walk a while to get somewhere nicer!! Enough was enough then!! Asked the manager to take us back immediately to Port denarau,best idea after 3 days of hell. We made him pick us up after we had booked professional trips(avoid his offerings at all cost!!!) we only then spent nights there to sleep & made every effort to stay away as lomg as possible! Smugglers Cove with the Fijian Guy Jo became our surrogate place to stay etc! Friday came around & time to go home & the non existant manager, had the nerve to ask us for $120Fijian for the 1hour trip the other day!! We discussed it on the way to the airport!! He didnt get his money as we felt he should have paid people to stay in his dump! I asked for a headoffice email or number again he showed lack of managerial awareness & didnt help at all again didnt care! The Fijian staff are beautiful but they alone are not worth staying there for even a night of hell! I wont mention the pool because it was out of use for 4 days out of 6, due to it having been emptied?? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT, if we hadnt got talking to a couple when out to dinner then we would not have discovered Smugglers Cove and the awesome Wyndham Hotel at Port Denarau! I WISH i could give this a minus rating so its a deft 0 out of 5! DONOT GO NEAR HERE ITS DIRTY SMELLY A BUILDING SITE NOT A PLACE TO STAY ITS UNSAFE THE MANAGER HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS HES RUDE RUBBISH & SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THIS PLACE OPEN WHILE MAJOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION IS BEING CARRIED OUT! HIS PICTURES ARE A LIE & THE FOOD RUBBISH, honestly a backpackers is classier than this & we have done that also!! Interesting if he even bothers to comment on this because we are ready for him!!
