  Very comfortable but not 4.5 star until restaurant renovations complete

  The apartment is most comfortable, surprisingly quiet despite its location on a busy intersection, and quite well located about 10 minutes walk from Brisbane River, Toowong Station and a major shopping centre. However, given its own 4.5 star classification and the price, room service and onsite evening meals should be standard. During our day this was not the case because the restaurant was undergoing renovations. There are nearby cafes and restaurants, but cafes closed mid-afternoon. Regatta Hotel on the Brisbane River is a good option, a short drive away. We met up with Brisbane friends there for lunch.

  Nice accommodation, shops nearby

  We have started using the Jephson hotel for work travel as it is near the company office. The rooms are well appointed, clean, modern and comfortable. We had 2 bedroom apartments which have a small kitchenette, en-suite in one bedroom and a bathroom with washing machine/dryer in the other bathroom. The location is good, Toowong shopping centre is right across the street and there is plenty of options for meals nearby, easily within walking distance. Theres underground parking on site. The website says theres a fitness centre, however you need to go across the road to a public gym that the hotel has an agreement with, and it costs $10 per use. You need to get a key from reception to get access to the gym so its not overly convenient if you want to go late/early. Other than the gym, the place is a good option and competitively priced

  Hidden Brisbane Gem

  For a change we decided to stay near family in Toowong. The Jephson is steps away from Toowong shops, restaurants, railway station and minutes to the river and CBD. Newly refurbished with large rooms and apartments all with balconies, this boutique hotel is the ideal quiet retreat for a weekend away, holiday or business travel. A big plus, free undercover parking. The hotel Restaurant Hooch & Co has an amazing bar, great food and friendly staff. Unfortunately due to Covid we couldnt experience the dinner menu but we were allowed fabulous takeaway from sister restaurant Barolo. What a great weekend away!

  Ultra modern but a bit noisey

  The room was a little small but all the facilities are ultra modern. Super easy access to public transport, restaurants shops and super close to inner-city. A little attention is required to fix some broken items in that room but did not affect our stay at all. The staff were very receptive to us pointing this out. The regatta hotel is super convenient and in walking distance. We advise to steer clear of the Royal exchange pub though, its a hole.

  Little Disappointed

  On checking in was told they had a function on that night which didnt phase us but did remove us from any chance of the complimentary parking so park on the street it was. Bed was nice, large king and the frosted/non frosted options for the bathroom wall was novel but housekeeping very disappointed. When the room was made up the bed was only half made and pillows left on the floor, towels left where they were placed in bathroom. Checkout was a quick thank you for returning the room keycards, Im still waiting for the room invoice to my email 2 days later
