  RV camping trip

  We decided to go camping this summer due to all Covid issues. We chose this state park as it was a few hours away from home, it was somewhere we had not visited before and it looked like there was a lot to do. We had a pretty good time. The RV Camp was pretty nice. The site we parked in was a little off so it was hard to level the vehicle , but no big deal. Sites were a little close but nothing different than other RV parks. The kids really enjoyed being able to ride their bikes around. We were able to hike a few trails near the site. There is also a laundry facility and bath house pretty close. We thought there was a pool for us to use but it was only available for resort. There are pull over sites on lake to swim. My only real complaint was trash removal. We were there for 5 days and the staff never emptied the trash. Most of the cans at every site were full by end of our trip. I would have preferred they emptied it at least every other day.

  Family Camping Trip

  We spent two nights at the campground. We stayed in Section B. Our campsites were on the end, right at the loop. This is a nice campground, and we enjoyed our visit. The hosts were friendly and so were the other guests. It is well kept, tidy and clean. There's very, very limited cell service but that's not a bad thing at all. We plan on coming back again.

  A wonderful mountain resort

  We had a wonderful evening there. Spent several hours in a nice pool swimming around and chatting with other guests, then had dinner in their bar/ restaurant. Breakfast was outside overlooking the lake, quite peaceful, will go back.

  Don't bother with the chain motel/hotels...

  Cannot say enough about the stay here... From the second we walked in, we were greeted by an amazing young lady who could not have been more perfect! She took care of getting our rooms, and the rooms are excellent! Contemporary and comfortable-with a balcony (ours faced the beautiful river). Comfy beds, everything you'd need in a room, and quiet. The walls are a bit thin (could hear people coughing in next room), but no one was loud. Robust Wi-Fi, high shower head with good pressure. Just a beautiful stay in a beautiful place - stay there now!

  Friendly staff, clean & comfortable - Beautiful spot.

  We visited from Lexington recently for an overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the lake with a balcony. We listened to live music outside. We had dinner and breakfast there, with excellent service and great menu items. Lots of great hiking trails, and the scenery is beautiful. Lots of activities to get into. We love playing tourist in our own state. Check in and out was a breeze. We will definitely return.
