  We are currently staying here! Generally a good hotel, nice room, good food, however there is a lovely bar in the centre of the hotel but its closed! Meaning if u want a drink in the evening u have to use the apres ski bar , which is could and unwelcoming, usually with a few drunken skiers remaining and a bit later it fills up with the local hotel staff, a bit like a student bar, last nite we sat and watched a fight, and also u cannot get a coffee after 9pm as the machine is being cleaned! For this reason I would not come back to this hotel! Such a shame when all it needs is a good Batman!

  Awesome!

  Second stay in 2 years. It was great the 1st time but I think they have upped their game again. Food, service, location, facilities all fabulous. Special thanks to the waiting staff in the restaurant who were always very patient, kind and courteous, even when we were a bit worse for wear after the Nederhutte!! We like a balcony room and the 1st time we stayed we were lucky enough to get a slope side view and, as repeat guests we hoped for the same again. Not so lucky this time, roadside but still a great room overlooking the mountains. We have previously stayed at the Edelweiss but the Jenewein is better. We used the wellness spa and the apres bar and both great. We certainly wouldn't consider anywhere else in Oberghurgl.

  A skiing gem

  Virtual ski in ski out, family run hotel in the high altitude resort of Obergurgl. Less than a minutes walk to a choice of two lifts out of the village with further links throughout the resort. All the public rooms and the bedrooms are spotless and well maintained, a log fire in the evenings makes for a comfy environment for a drink before dinner, six course supper with fish meat or vegetarian main courses and well able to cope with the main allergies. Good wine list, the Austrian Sauvignon Blanc and the Kommander red are both excellent Beware - carafes of tap water, as is common , are charged for @ 3.80 euros The bedrooms are well appointed and Beds are very comfy, but the twin rooms are Austrian twins - one base with two mattresses. The spa is excellent with 3 saunas, jacuzzi, steam room, hot reclining Rick bed and three desolate areas with loungers overlooking the slopes. The hotel is family run and all the staff are courteous and attentive, Atilla particularly helpful in the restaurant and Sylvia and Briggit In reception

  Excellent!

  This was our fourth time in Obergurgl and the first time at this property, having stayed at the Crystal and the Edelweiss previously. The hotel was excellent overall and we would return. We had booked a balcony room but were lucky enough to be upgraded to a South facing, balcony larger room, with fantastic views up the slopes. The wellness spa is extremely good with a whirlpool, two saunas, a steam room and an infra red room, which are all beautifully appointed with views up the mountain. It is a great place to relax after skiing. The food was excellent and the attention by the waiting staff was very good. The hotel is a minutes walk to the two major lifts taking you up the mountain and is situated in the town square. There is a great boot room in the basement of the hotel with individual lockable lockers for boots and skis. The hotel has obviously been recently upgraded and is beautiful decorated. We preferred staying in a slightly smaller, family run hotel compared to the larger hotels we had stayed in previously. Hotel Jenewein will be top of our list to stay in, on return to Obergurgl and we would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

  The perfect location - Very charming hosts We just returned from a wonderful walking holiday in Austria in the Öztal. We stayed for the umpteenth time at the Ferienheim Leopldine and this remains a very nice moment.... Both in summer and winter.. Leopoldine and her charming dochter Martina, the hosts, are proud of offering a qualitative accommodation. They offer you a very warm welcome in their charming surroundings. Friendly, enthusiastic and helpfull, in other words driven people, ensuring that guests can enjoy their stay. The location is more than perfect... It's paradise on earth. An incredible beautiful natural mountainous environment. In the morning and in the evening you can hear the sounds of the birds, the bees, goats and cows, but it is also a place where you can enjoy the real silence. An absolute added value is that the hosts made a more than excellent taylormade breakfast. You can't start the day better than that. We can really highly recommend this location to anyone who likes such a concept . Martine and Alain - Belgium
