  One of my new favorite places to vacation!

  So this was my second stay and both visits have been awesome and memorable. Both trips were "Girlfriend Get-a-ways" and it couldn't have been better. We enjoyed hanging by the fireplace and bar in the main lobby on a very cold day. We met new friends and enjoyed having drinks. We took the trolley ride, shopped at the gift shop and the little shops on campus. We especially love the gift shop. Brady in the gift shop was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy! The food at The Pantry is delicious. The pimento BLT is a favorite, my friends got that. I got the salmon BLT and it was yummy. I also tried the croissant egg, cheese and bacon sandwich and it was really good. We had breakfast in the main dining room one morning and it was very good. You need to make reservations ahead of time for this as it fills up quickly. There is live music at The Wharf restaurant. We only had drinks there, but that was fun. Next time we go, we want to rent bikes. The staff is great! I enjoyed it so much, that I want to bring my husband and I am about to book that trip soon.

  Continued excellence even in a pandemic

  We took advantage of the anniversary special and extended Christmas lights. The lobby bar felt very safe and welcoming. William was the bartender of the evening. He is so organized and makes an excellent cocktail. Im not a Manhattan fan but heard several guests praising his expertise. We also ate at both restaurants on property. The wharf and eighty ocean. Our servers whose names I dont remember were exemplary. Often when a convention is in town a party of two can slip by. Not so with these two. The Wharf was a female and eighty ocean a male. They deserve praise even though this senior moment cant remember their names. The room in Sans Souci was lovely. I also enjoyed a visit to the gift shop. The clerk was very personable and knew her inventory. I was able to find some lovely additions for my home and a gift or two. The Jekyll Island Club is a special place. I highly recommend it as a way back into the past with every modern amenity available. The Covid accommodations were unfortunate but tolerable because my safety was important. We are already planning our next visit.

  Great night in an Awesome Hotel

  This is a historic building, the Rockefellers , JP Morgan ...those type of people used it as a club back in the early 1900s. The service is wonderful... the building has been restored absolutely beautifully , If you like historic buildings you will love the buildings and grounds and the extra buildings there that you can go into.. If you are a golfer it is right around the corner ...the most fun way to get around on the island is to rent a golf cart or rent a bike.. The hotel rooms have been upgraded nice bathrooms very comfortable beds. There are so many common rooms to sit in ...there are game rooms and plan sitting areas and the bar is small but nice, and friendly bartenders!! the dining room is beautiful and at this time on is open on weekends for breakfast. But there is a coffee shop that serves hoii oh d breakfast although fast and lunches. The beaches there if thats what youre after are fantastic. And I felt like I was on a deserted island for a while because I had about a 1/2 mile to myself!!! Go to the driftwood beach it is very interesting!!! This island is worth a visit!!!

  I love Jekyll Island

  This really is my favorite place. You have the quaint, historic hotel to stay in, delicious restaurants to walk into, gorgeous bike trails to ride on, and the beautiful beach a short distance away. The hotel, its grounds, and the island itself are so well maintained. Everything is just perfect.

  Wonderful, quiet, excellent service,

  Our first visit, but clearly not our last! An amazing facility - a bit dated in some ways but quaint as the buildings are over120 years old! Good bed, nice room in the Annex. Exceptionally friendly service and staff. Rented bikes right at the facility and toured the island for a day+. Walking paths go everywhere. Do make reservations for dinner!!
