  stayed a few nites here, amazing,, newly renovated rooms clean and spacious and affordable great rates, one of the best hotels to stay on negril beach, close to the town area and nightly entertainment. restaurant cooks amazing local food manager n staff great, friendly n helpful

  We wont stay here again...

  This place needs a facelift. I heard they did renovations but I think they missed some rooms. We arrived one evening after a long long flight, and then a long drive from the Mobay airport in traffic ...and we were very disappointed with the room. It looked nothing like the picture... the bathroom was gross and outdated, there were leaks everywhere it had just rained and they said that its common when it rains and the sheets looked old and gross. We complained and decided that we would go somewhere else. The male staff was nice and said he could put us up in another room. The next room was a lot better but still nothing special. The bathroom had been renovated and there was no leaks! To be honest, had I known the place would look like the way it did, I wouldnt have booked. Im glad we only stayed for 2 nights. The beach was lovely and definitely the best thing about our stay there. If you want a beach towel you have to give them a $10 US deposit. My husband said some of the grounds staff seemed a bit, sketchy.... (hes Jamaican so he knows sketchy) Anyways, at the end of the day you get what you pay for. We must have paid around $100 CAD/ night. I think thats one of the more cheaper rates on the Negril strip. So next time well just spend our money to go somewhere a lot nicer...

  Great little higel

  The hotel is right in the beach. If youre looking for an all inclusive its not for you, but its absolutely lovely. The staff are so hard working and kind, its the second time Ive stayed there and will definitely be back.

  Just No....

  So as always my post pertain to places i have stayed in Jamaica. I stayed at Jamaica Tamboo, after having read the reviews and looking at pics. I was slightly disappointed. I did receive a beachfront room closest to the beach, but the rooms were nothing to get excited about, except they were clean. I had no issue with that, HOWEVER i must say these are the hardest beds ive ever slept on in my whole 47 years, i believe sleeping on a pallet on the floor would have been more comfortable. Even so my family enjoyed the beach. The night of our second stay, around 20 young men checked in, in the late evening hours and proceeded to take over the bar and grounds, i did not feel entirely comfortable at that point, as they clearly all were staying in shared rooms,once they started hauling lawn chairs to the rooms to accomodate everyones sleep. This did not make me feel very safe with my young children, as i have stayed at MANY hotels in ja and alot of them are very strict about who stays on the grounds. I decided to take my kids and family for breakfast on our last day, only to be told the menu is limited to bacon, eggs and toast and coffee. Which isnt necessarily conducive to a non meat and egg eater, so we left the property and found breakfast at a different spot. All in all, it was NOT a horrible experience, everyone was nice and friendly. I did have issue with the fact that the room was booked for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children, yet we were only given 2 towels each day, none for the kids, thank god i had my own. Also at most hotels you have the option to not be disturbed or have maid service in the room. We obviously did NOT know we did not have that option, for when we returned to our room the second day, it had been entered and cleaned. I wasnt very happy about this, as i would have secured my personal belongings. ANyhoo the stay was decent, but i will not return and wouldnt recommend to my friends to stay unless the put a few changes in place.Also the hotel offers free wifi but its horrible, i had to use my mobile hotspot and we were directly across from the office, where the internet is located.

  Great hotel right on the beach

  This was a great place to stay staff was very friendly made sure I was comfortable. Air was ice cold and shower was nice and hot. taxi on site if you want to head out. There were some good spots to walk to and get local price for food and drinks. Can't wait till my next stay.
