  Superb food

  Recommended this place by locals and delighted we were. Fantastic food and service. Divine fish risotto and sole ravioli. Lovely wine. Attentive and good natured service right through an evening thunderstorm that we insisted on sitting out under cover through with our dogs. We've got pals joining us later in the week and have booked a table for us to return already. Yum.

  Food is second to none

  We were in Filzmoos in July 2017 for a friends wedding and as we flew out on my wife's birthday I wanted to find somewhere nice to eat on the Saturday night as a treat. As she has to have a gluten free diet this wasn't an easy task, Austria doesn't seem to be too sympathetic to this, that is until you go to Jagdhof! The food and service is absolutely fantastic, its not particularly cheap but you certainly don't feel like you have spent too much. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service staff are attentive, professional and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed out meal there. So much so that we went back the night before we left as trying to find anywhere else to eat was a difficult and in fact my wife was ill due to contamination from elsewhere during the week. On our return they remembered us and duly poured our drinks without us having to ask. This is a very cozy restaurant and very unassuming from the outside but go in and see for yourself. Depending on budget this is a brilliant mid price place to eat. I cant say enough good things about this place. Just for reference the Venison Carpaccio and the fillet steak are truly amazing. Oh and don't go before having dessert! Seriously great food. We were not guests of this hotel, we stayed just up the road but that certainly didn't prejudice the service we received.

  Food excellent / hotel very disappointing

  after traveling to Filzmoos for 25 years this was our first stay. As always the food was excellent. However when staying the nightclub can be heard until 4 am throughout the hotel. We lost our electricity in our apartment for 7 hours no ones fault, but to be charged for 2cups of tea after no heating or electricity for 7 hours was disappointing. The care we would have expected based on our experience in the resturant just wasn't there. We would never recomend this hotel.

  If u are tired of the simple schnitzel, wurst and patatoes in Filzmoos go to Restaurant Jagdhof. It's really cuisine and art together, tastes really great. The menu card changes more times the waitress told. It's excellent. Go there to enjoy food! See the pictures

  Excellent

  Excellent food, and not just traditional ones. The schnitzel was one of the best I have ever eaten. You can choose whether you order big or small portion. The service was also good, they speek English perfectly, ( it is not obvious in this region). Also there is wide range of deserts, and ice creams too.
