Place to beLittle Italy for sure. Lovely people makes up for the bad road. A little bit out of town. Good enough food and the entertainment for the kids is a blessing. The pools are nice and really enjoyable. Manage the beach boys or they will drive you crazy.

Nice holiday in Africa :)I have been in Kenya many times. This hotel is standard hotel usually in Kenya. But I have to say, it is very clean and quiet. It was very nice, like every staying in this country. - Clean and nice rooms and area. - Very friendly staff and nice animators. - Nice swimming pool. - Good food, not so wide range, but ok - Far away from town, but you can rent a driver from hotel, it is not expensive - Rooms near receptions are far away from beach, but you can ask about rooms closer from beach or swimming pool. - Nice bar. - I missed a busy reception with a lobby bar.

Terrible HotelUpon arriving we were welcomed with cold hand towels and a quarter glass of orange juice, We arrived at 4pm but settled down around 5:30pm because we didn't like the room they had allocated for us, I approached the reservation manager whom i found to be rude to the core and very quick to convince me to get a room supplement which meant paying more money despite making the bookings early in October. By 5:30 we went to the snack bar hoping to feed my girls (17 months and 4 years old). I was very surprised to find out the snack bar only offered you tea and cake which looked pathetic and not presentable at all... I quickly demanded to speak to someone in charge and the person who was available was the SOCIAL MEDIA manager. I had to plead and beg him to at least prepare some fries for the girls because the buffet opened at 8pm and they had not eaten.. We ate and went to the rooms. At around 8:30 we went for the buffet and we were shocked by what we saw... NO social distancing , guys had No masks and you served yourself at the buffet which i found to be unhygienic during this COVID time . We were on ALL INCLUSIVE package which usually means you can eat and drink as much as you can but with Jacaranda its different you are only allowed 4 bottles of water per day and at the restaurant water is served in a glass from a water dispenser which i found to be SILLY coz how many glasses of water can one drink.. (P.s in case you're planning to still visit the establishment carry a big water bottle because you are your own waiter) The Buffet. Imagine we are in Kenya yet the bacon/sausages tasted like crap, guys were being served HIGHLANDS JUICE not the normal fresh orange juice, the salads were not that fresh, you could smell the stench. The last day the T-bone steak run out while guest were still on queue 30 minutes after the buffet had opened and when i asked why the chef had the audacity to tell me " The supplier delivered less than he normally does and he closed his working station" I asked another Chef and he told me to come the next day he'd serve me double steak . The food was pathetic yes i was on holiday but my mind was somewhere else. ( Breakfast starts at 7:30am, lunch at 1pm , dinner at 8am) i found these timings to be very unreasonable especially for children who are below 5 years and on a particular schedule.Be prepared to eat popcorns and crisps all throughout your stay as the main snack which are very salty , and not toddler friendly and so are the timings. The rooms are huge, spacious but not airy, toilets are old and stained and were told ni maji ya chumvi moving ON .... The beds are very high and not child friendly, the mattress is not comfortable at all, the mini bar fridge is old and hadn't been used in ages it had a funny smell plus imagine there's Tv in the rooms no telephones , i didn't even bother to ask for the WIFI password. The pools were old and need i say dirty, the tiles were coming out and most kids got hurt while swimming ,FYI while swimming be on the look out for crabs. Kudos to Damaris, the housekeeping manager, Simon and Unda at the restaurant, Chef Donald and Hamisi, and Lewa . They went over and above to try and make our stay more memorable. I could have rated the hotel ZERO but I give it a 1. Personally I think the whole hotel needs a makeover from the curtains, wall hangings which I found to be funny, the beds and mattress. This was a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend any of your services to anyone! .
