  Good location

  Close to the station and very clean and well equipped. The "large" twin bed was a bit small for 2 people. Reception staff were helpful although struggling with English at times. I'd go back again in the future. Reasonable value for money.

  Good hotel, ideal for Fukushima location

  The hotel has an efficient check in and out, all staff were really helpful and the rooms are clear with efficient showers. My room 5th floor) was a little tight for space but you get what you pay for and the bed was good so no issues. Breakfast was mostly self service, a reasonable mix of Japanese and more typical western with even a couple of cereals available and pastries. Coffee was ok. It takes about 50 to 60 mins to drive to Fukushima and is very close to the train station if you are coming from Tokyo. It's about 2 hours 30 mins on the train from Tokyo.

  For the price, it is all right.

  My friends came up from Tokyo and I went with them to their room. I have never seen a more cramped room! It was very clean though and I am told that the beds were all right and the breakfast was almost acceptable. Fortunately, the wifi worked but the staff had almost NO English abilities...

  Average Japanese business hotel

  Average Japanese business hotel. Clean and comfortable. The room was small but with complete facilities and amenities. Hotel has its own parking next to the hotel building. Staffs and service were good.

  An essential hotel for business travel

  The Washington hotel is a hotel within an easy 10-minute walk from Iwaki Station. It is quite cheap and offers the essential for a business trip. I would not recommend it for a holiday because of the essentiality of the structure. The staff are very friendly and helpful but speak little English, so there may be difficulties in making special requests. The single room I was assigned was very small, enough for a queen bed and a small desk. Someone may find it difficult to sit at the desk comfortably, preferring to sit on the bed in the vicinity. The wifi is very good. The bathroom is small, with the sink partially overlapping the tub. However the cleaning of the bathroom is good. The cleaning of the room, however, was just enough. The control panel located next to the bed, which allows you to control the room lights and the alarm clock, was quite dirty and I had to clean it before using it. Conditioning is efficient, and it is possible to partially open the window for air exchange. In the room you can see a kettle, tea bags and phone. The hotel has an elevator. Breakfast is self-service, in Japanese style. The international breakfast is limited to some croissants and a machine that offers hot drinks. The quality is not exceptional but I would say more than enough. Within walking distance from the hotel you can find supermarkets and bars.
