    Unfortunately a bad experience, would not recommend

    I made the mistake of not registering that reviews for this place were not recent. On arrival no one could speak English, someone wordlessly took our bag up to a room where the AC was switched off. When someone else arrived he explained there had been a problem with the booking - advertised misleadingly through a booking website as for up to two adults and 'standard' (as opposed to their cheaper but otherwise identical 'standard non-AC') we were told it was for only one adult and a fan only room. Next for the airport transfer we arrived in and had pre-agreed a price for via email they asked for significantly more money. The surrounding area lacks good affordable options for food and character. We didn't feel particularly safe after dark and we're concerned leaving our belongings in the hotel after such a shake start. This is the first bad review I have written for a place to stay.

    Okay with very helpful staff

    The staff gets full points here, everyone was really helpful and friendly. Rooms could be cleaner, found a lot of dust and some bugs, which got removed after I mentioned it. The beach is nearby, but the area around didnt feel really safe to me after sunset (some small and dark roads). Okay for a short stay after arrival or before departure.

    Stay made pleasant with the amazing staff! Be wary of bugs though.

    Our stay in Dehiwala was not planned because of some unexpected rains. This became a detour stopover. We came here soaked to the bone after our first choice of place to stay was overbooked. We found the rooms and balcony to be quite spacious. For breakfast, we were offered a simple and nice breakfast of toast and eggs with a slice of fruit. Our stay was particularly made pleasant by David particularly who helped recommend some places to eat around. The only thing that marred our stay were the two big cockroaches in our room. One scampered under the leg of the table in the room and the other was in the bathroom. We had to ensure that we always kept our things inside our bags and they were zipped closed at all times. Besides that, on one particular instance, another staff just walked into our bedroom for which he profusely apologised but we didn't feel very safe about leaving our valuables in the room after that. There was a slight miscalculation while settling our bill which they were very apologetic of when it was pointed out. The beach close by isn't a very good beach and especially the way to reach it. In all the rooms can be improved. There was one extra single bed in our room. The side of which protruded out way more than the bed itself and so we kept stubbing our toes on it. The furniture looks a bit worn out and the wardrobe didn't look like it could be used. Since our stay was short, we didn't bother using it.

    Bad hotel ever stayed.Manager is not well experience.Room quality is Not standard level.

    Room is not well cleaned.wifi no work poor connection.bed is not comfortable.Bathroom was not clean.once we request to change our room manager talk us very bad with no Respect. manager charged me more price than the price mention in booking. becareful foreign travellers they will try charged extra. I will never recommend for any travellers.

    Worst place ever. DO NOT STAY HERE

    One of the worst place I have ever been. There was a manger called chintha or someone with poor attitudes doesnt know how to talk to they customers. Had to wait more than two hours outside till they arrange our rooms. Their excuses was they didnt got the confirmation from booking.com. and the guy called manager said that its not their fault. They have nothing to do with that.Seems like theyre providing reserved rooms for short term use for couples I guess. Never stay here. WORST PLACE. WORST STAFF. WORST MANAGER.
