  Relaxing, Safe Vacation

  I was IMPRESSED with this hotel. We visited Ithaca and stayed Wednesday thru Saturday and missed the weekend rush. The hotel enforces masks and sells them as well, has dividers in elevators, hand sanitizer available. We had a beautiful view of the leaves changing colors outside. This is an optimal location because the hotel is right on the Commons where there are cute shops that enforce social distancing and safe inside shopping, along with a wonderful variety of food. The breakfast from the restuarant inside the hotel, Monks, was amazing and they deliver it up to your room for a small fee (breakfast only on weekends). We also enjoyed the dessert options as well from their restaurant. Wonderful, positive customer service at the front desk and when I called on the phone before booking. Felt very safe staying here during COVID. Highly recommend, totally worth the price.

  Excellent Choice

  Picked this as a Hot Rate Deal on Hotwire...and it was great! Nice room, comfortable beds, clean hotel and friendly staff! All safety procedures were being followed...this was convenient to everything we did. Would easily stay here again!

  Close to Cornell

  My cat had been hit by a car and needed possible surgery. After being seen by two other vet hospitals over two days it was recommended we drive all the way out the Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca. I ended up having to leave my pet at Cornell and stay over night in Ithaca, anticipating the cat having surgery in the morning. Needless to say, I arrived at the Marriott extremely stressed and very tired, having made the reservation on short notice as I left the vet hospital. The reception and treatment I received at this Marriott was exceptional. The man working the desk, Kellen Calale, was extremely efficient at finding my reservation and getting me checked in. He was very compassionate and caring regarding my poor kitty. He upgraded me to a corner suite (I am Bonvoy Titanium for Life, but he gave me an excellent upgrade). One glitch was finding the parking garage entrance, which is not any where near the entrance to the hotel. I was given a map but found it confusing. By the time I went to to the wrong parking garage, found the correct parking garage, went down the wrong elevator and walked the wrong way down a street I had to carry my bag up some stairs back to get back to the front of the hotel, it was almost 9 PM and the restaurant and bar had closed. However, a very nice woman (Jane?) from the restaurant told Kellen she could make me up anything I wanted and would have it brought up to my room. I ordered a quick stir-fry, and went up to my room. My dinner was soon brought up to my room, and it was delicious. The room was very nice with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the street and the courtyard market area. The room was spotless, and I felt very safe with regard to Covid-19 precautions. Their ice machines were not being used due to Covid, and when I called Kellen got me ice immediately. The coffee machine had an issue, so again the staff immediately brought up a replacement. The room was well stocked with linens, coffee, robes, two wide screen tvs and had a fridge. The platform bed was very comfortable, with big soft pillows and I slept very well. In the morning I had to buy something in the market for breakfast as the kitchen was closed due to COVID. (this was on a Friday). A little inconvenient as there wasn't much to choose from, but no biggie. Unlike other reviews, I did not receive the item I chose free for being Titanium so not sure what was going on there. There had been a mistake on my bill that I had to bring to Kellen's attention in the morning and he said the manager coming on at noon would take care of it. That did not happen, but a quick phone call to the hotel later in the day got it fixed. In the daylight, better rested, I saw how easy the parking garage access to the hotel was and could see how I made a mistake in the dark, but still, valet parking would be better. I can strongly recommend this property, as long as you are aware of the limitations due to COVID, and when you find the correct parking garage, follow the signs and drive all the way to the very back wall, where you will find spots labeled Marriott and the elevator door down to the back of the hotel. This brings you right to the back of the lobby.

  Should NOT be marketed as pet-friendly

  Stayed here 11/20. Nice hotel but definitely should not be marketed as pet-friendly. Charged $100+ to have a pet and no place to walk dog even remotely close to hotel. Parking garage far so putting dog in vehicle and driving to pet-friendly location not an option. Staff recommended parks over .5 mile away. Does hotel expect dog to use bathroom on concrete outside hotel? Actually had to cut trip short because having dog at this hotel was impossible.

  Good but could've been better

  Hotel staff were good but could've been better. My husband wanted to surprise me n have dinner at the Monks on my bday but they informed us that we should've had reservations even though we were staying at the hotel We had to sit outside in the cold. The patio heaters where closer to other tables that had ppl sitting and they could not move one closer to our table (we were with our 4 children). Food was good but got cold too soon I would not be going back here
