    Lost in a Maze

If you have no sense of direction and do not carry a GPS with you, you might find yourself wandering through the corridors searching for your room. The hotel is sandwiched between a business center complex and electronic security is extended nearly to the absurd. From reception you have to pass through a turnstile by use of the room card, take the lift to the second floor, pass over a connecting bridge through three more locked doors, head down a corridor to another locked door, walk down a flight of stairs to reach another locked door to the corridor where you finally encounter your room. Once you are inside, you need to push a button to unlock the door. Of course, any time you wish to exit the room you need to retrace your steps. I suppose an optimist might consider the journey as a form of fitness challenge. Nevertheless, if you do in fact find your room, it is clean and comfortable--basic but adequate. Breakfast is substantial and the reception personnel are friendly and helpful. There is little to see in the proximity of the hotel other than the Children's Puppet Theatre, but most visitors stay here for business purposes rather than sightseeing. If I should ever come back to this hotel I will bring some breadcrumbs to leave a trail to follow or hire a guide to navigate. All in all, a rather unique experience.

Great food at Azu Cafe! Too many security doors

The cafe is great and was informed is one of the Halal certified cafes in Kazan. Breakfast menu was the same and should have some rotation of variety. Lunch menu was great and we love it. My only problem is the many security door we had to go through to get to our room.

    Excellent choice for business trips

The room is spacious and have everything you might need! A real plus is an iron and an ironing board in your room. The staff is very polite and efficient. I chose it for its proximity to the Arbitration Court of Tatarstan. Will come back here soon!

    Good value for money

The venue itself is good. Personnel is helpful and responsive. You have to keep in mind few things. Some rooms experiencing problems with ventilation and you suffer from really bad smells from the bathroom. Others have a huge noise from vents. Location is perfect. Metro station is just in 5 minutes walk. The canteen inside the building is quite average, I recommend to look around for dinner. And finally, one more point -- countless doors.. doors ... doors. For example, to get outside from the 1st floor you have to pass ...11 doors. Eleven DOORS. So if you are a smoker you'll be at trouble here.

Great hotel in the center of the city

This is a really good value for money , stayed in the standard room on 3rd floor , the room is kinda a small apartment! The size is quite big, very spacious entrance area with good size and clean shower and fully equipped room: microwave , fridge, cutlery , everything you need . Also it is located very centrally and will take you only 15 min walk to the main shopping street and shopping center where you can get groceries of course as well. Breakfast has a quite decent offer as well . I will definitely stay here again !
