Excellent small hotelThis is a keenly priced 3 star hotel, and offers excellent value for money. Roberto and Orvieta do a very good job of welcoming you and helping you: their English is better than my Italian, so with a little patience it is all understood, and works out. It is a very clean, quiet place...ideal after a day's sightseeing in Venice. The pool is a godsend on a hot day ....chill out in it when you get back. Wifi is free, and pretty fast. Air conditioning in our room worked fairly well in 31 degrees. Only breakfast is supplied. There used to be a restaurant next door, but that is now a "Mexican" resto....read the reviews about it before committing yourself! The bus to Padua or Venice is a 10 minute walk - a 20 min weekday schedule, and you get your tickets at the bar/tabacchi 50 metres from the hotel. We found a good restaurant about 12 mins walk away, but unless you have a car, be prepared to walk a little. There is a nearby supermarket for drinks etc (good prices on bottles of excellent prosecco!). If you want a quiet base outside Venice, this is ideal: access to Padua and Vicenza is also good. Car parking is free, and many guests use this: we used a pre-booked taxi to & from the airport - 30/35 mins.

Charming hotel in a charming town.Delightful! The hotel is charming in an old-country way. The Staff were friendly but reserved. They showed us to our room and greeted us at breakfast in the morning. The room, which was on the first floor, was large with a large, modern bathroom and great shower. The room was immaculate, and there was plenty of natural light from the window. Parking is inside the gates. They recommended a restaurant, Trattoria alla Vida, which we really enjoyed. We stayed here on the way to Venice, but if we return to Italy I would stay here for a few days to explore the town and surrounding areas. It was only 20 minutes to drive to Venice to return our car, and from this area you can take a boat into Venice. Beautiful little hotel for a good price. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in beautiful surroundingsI really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Isola di Caprera. I stayed there for 1 week while visiting Venice. The hotel is located approx 25 minutes by bus (that stops very close to the hotel) and goes directly to Piazza Roma in Venice. The hotel is beautifully located and has a lovely swimming pool and garden which I made daily use of before heading off to Venice. The couple who own the hotel are very nice and offer great service. I was able to keep my room for late check out as I was leaving late in the afternoon and they provided me with an excellent driver that picked me up and dropped me off at the airport for less than a taxi costs. I would highly recommend staying there - the hotel is lovely and rooms are spacious and clean and a very nice breakfast was included. Ragnheidur - Iceland

DisappointefTo be fair, we spent our entire trip in the Dolomites with cool, clean crisp air. This was our last stop. The room was adequate but very musty smell. I'm sure it is because of the humidity and canal but was a stark difference to the other places we stayed. Breakfast was also a disappointment. The main building was very nice with beautiful wood floors and nicely decorated. They also have an outdoor pool.

Really good family run hotel in a quiet locationThe bells of St Nicholas church were ringing when we arrived at the hotel, and it was a good sign! We were welcomed warmly by the owner and shown our rooms on the ground floor. Ours was 'accessible'. The room was of average size and pleasant, although the bathroom would benefit from refurbishment. The building itself is elegant, with polished floors. Our host recommended an excellent restaurant a short walk up the road (Trattoria alla Vida). Breakfast was excellent, with freshly cooked eggs - our hosts were extremely helpful and we would certainly recommend this hotel.
