  5 Star Accommodation!

  Just returned from an absolutely amazing week at Irini Stalos Apartments in Crete, not quite sure where the 2 star official rating comes from because it is most definitely 5 star all the way! Antonis and Irini cannot do enough for you. They are constantly working to make sure that you have everything you need, from daily cleaning of the rooms to organising trips and airport transfers, nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile. This is a bit of a lengthy review as I feel it deserves one, plus it gives me chance to add to what other reviewers have previously commented on. Rooms - immaculate! Newly refurbished, modern, tasteful and everything you need. A decent size too. We staying in room 8 which is at the side of the building so we had a pool view, plus some of the main road. Air Con - Is temperature controlled. If you open the door to the balcony, it goes off after a short period. Absolutely no problems whatsoever with it. Pool - Amazing! Very clean, plenty of sun beds, very quiet (we had it to ourselves a couple of days) and gets the sun pretty much all day long. Location - lots of supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance, as is the beach. The bus stop is also close by too if you want to visit Chania (which you definitely should do). All in all, a great apartment in a great location with brilliant owners! I 100% recommend Irini Stalos Apartments.

  Perfect Holiday

  Thanks Irini and Antonis! Superb friendly hosts lovely hotel clean rooms really nice swimming pool area also. Would definitely recommend A+++++. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Location is near the shops and restaurants.

  Best Place and Best Base for Chania and area

  Normally I don't write reviews of places on TripAdvisor because I am not a fan of TripAdvisor's marketing tactics -- which say what you will, do represent a form of American corporate imperalism -- and my views on community-based content are well-known and uncompromising. That said, from time to time I will make an exception and Irini Stalos Apartments is one such exception. There are couple reasons for this. First, the location: Chania is the second-largest city in Crete, and the town center itself is generally not where you will want to stay--it is too touristy and parking is nothing short of a nightmare. The chief attractions of western Crete are outdoors: whether it's Balos Lagoon, Falasarna or just the beaches and scenery in general. But what is lacking in the region are great hotels and the main reason is that, outside of Chania itself (again, pretty but so touristy, with lots of lower-end, noisy Russian tourists--nothing against Russians per se but yes, the ones that come to Crete are lower-end, noisy, and tend to be chain smokers, too: terrible travelers, as Donald Trump might say!) there aren't many decent choices. But, if you catch my drift, you don't need to be in Chania itself: what you do need is a good base, and Irini Stalos is an excellent one. Irini Stalos Apartments is an excellent base because you are just a short drive from Chania if you want to poke about the old town and harbor for a bit, but more importantly the property is supremely easy to find from, and very convenient to, the National Road which will take you in a jiffy to Kissamos and points west or to more easterly destinations. After you spend a day exploring, you are back at Irini Stalos within minutes and there's plenty of parking in the back. And if you don't feel like driving around, there's a fine beach basically across the road. Overall, considering the location could not be more convenient. Now I am going to tell you something else: Antonis, who is very friendly and helpful in all respects, manages these luxe-style apartments as if it were a great boutique hotel. It is spotlessly clean and seems to have been very recently built or recently renovated. The bathrooms are excellent and feature rainbath showers and local amenities (Greek bath products). The air con and TV are modern, easy to use. Contemporary kitchenettes well-stocked with dishes, cutlery etc. Clean, crisp decor and comfortable beds; good WiFi. I didn't have time to enjoy the swimming pool but it's of a good size and also immaculately clean; I imagine that after a long day of exploring, and in warmer weather (though October is still warm, but not hot, in Crete) it's a nice place to chill out for a bit before checking out the many casual tavernas and restaurants in the area. My only mistake was not staying long enough, but I would definitely recommend Irini Stalos for as long as you can -- probably four or five nights would be ideal to make this area your base for exploring this very beautiful part of the island. And due to its growing popularity, probably not a bad idea to book as far in advance as possible, too.

  Wonderful stay here!

  Very clean rooms, large rooms, wonderful friendly staff who gave us a bottle of wine and gift for our wedding anniversary, lots of nice restaurants nearby in walking distance, nice pool and sitting area. Could not recommend this apartment any more. Perfect for what we required for our trip around Crete. The parking is also very handy! Should be more than a 2*!· Only (very picky) area to improve would the WiFi signal in the room wasn't so strong!

  A wonderful place to stay

  Excellent location. Very nice rooms, pool, parking spaces. Very clean. Great owner. Value for money, even cheaper for what it offers. Great room finishes, gives the impression of a high class hotel. Mini kitchen with all necessary. Air conditioned.
