Great ambiance, let down by issuesWe decided to try here for dinner having walked past. The ambiance is fantastic and it is a great place to relax. Our overall experience was let down by a few elements. Firstly the only dish from the menu I wanted was not available. They did provide an alternative but it wasnt great. My husbands main was fine but nothing special. It was the same with the wine. We did have a nice evening but little things like the unavailable dish, the toilet door not closing properly, the average food and wine and then at the end no card machine to pay on card let it down. It wasnt a problem for us as we had cash but imagine if we hadnt and we werent told until the end, what would we have done?! Unfortunately we had had a great meal the night before for much less money so this effected our expectations from Irida which was much more expensive. For the price, we would expect a bit more. All in all great ambiance, shame about the little issues.

Chic design in a total touristic nightmare neighborhood. The hotel is new renovated and the design is super nice. We had a friendly welcome and a spacious apartment. Unfortunately as nice as it looks, the plumbing has not been done so you can not flush any toilet paper and have to leave it in a bucket the walls are so thin, you hear your neighbors doing everything. But most annoying was the squeaking wooden bed in which we woke each other up every night by just turning around. We talked with the manager friendly about it, but nothing was done about it. So we spend our holiday sleeping with a mattress on the floor and with earplugs in moat unpleasant experiences was the waiter at dinner giving us a lecture about why we can not sit on a table where we kindly asked the manager before if its ok. After that, all friendliness was gone and they showed their true face. During dinner they gave us a different desert then the other guests. The regular one was out we were told. A few minutes later we saw the waiter carrying the nice regular desert to two other table. So after being lied to our faces we decided to have dinner in the local tavernas outside the hotel, which was cosy and romantic and the food was much nicer (fresh grilled fish and other seafood) than what we got in the hotel (e.g. rice, paprika, bifteki). Really nice and great was the lady in the spa, we had a super relaxing massage and she was very cool and friendly.

Wonderful memoriesTravelled here twice in 2009 and absolutely adored the place and family that ran in. Manos Kleo & Costas. Intimate and personal walking distance from the beach and tavernas. But best bar by far was Irida and the lovely staff who make you welcome like family.

I will never returnWe had a very bad experience in this so called boutique hotel! The room was small, dark and had a bad smell, the bathroom was for a 2 stars hotel, with a dirty piece of wood on the floor. The lady who was cleaning our room was trying so hard to clean, but as she explained the owners girlfriend didnt want to take that dirty piece of wood from the bathroom, as she designed it?!?! The breakfast was very poor, every day the same. The dinner we tried only twice because we had to wait one hour to receive the first dish. The waiters were first taking the drinks order and only when they finished they were bringing the meal. For this reason we ate in the local restaurants. The drinks at the bar were of bad quality of alcohol and expensive. Regretfully bad quality of alcohol had all the bars in Stallida. We visited a nice hotel in the neighborhood, called Abaton and their drinks were perfect. Perfect value for money. We used to go there almost every evening. Concerning Irida we were not happy. We spoke to the manager, but my friend told me that he looked to be drunk and he didnt satisfy our requirements of changing the room. From that day he was looking very strange to us and once we felt that he was discussing about us with the girl from the spa. As soon as we passed they started to laugh. This was very disappointing. We read some very good reviews, but at the end of our stay we understood that as the waiter came to greet us he told us to write a review, hoping that we had a pleasant stay. And after almost an year we did it. We are disappointed and we will never return. For sure we dont recommend this hotel.
