  Good price, perfect position!

  I just spent a weekend in Plzen and we were looking for something cheap, clean and in a convenient location. The Irida Hotel is less than 5 minutes walking from the Cathedral square. It offers small but nice and clean rooms for a reasonable price. Breakfast was also good and people from the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The only weak point was the quality of the bed, just a little bit too hard for my personal taste. The hotel is definitely recommended for a short stay in Plzen!

  It seems we were the only guests that night

  We picked this hotel because of its great location in Pilsen. We spent one night there, very nice. Staff speaks good english. We had a pleasant balcony overlooking the river mze., 58. A winner. Location: about 10 minutes to General Patton Memorial, 15 minutes to the Cathedral/ The Synagogue. Parking: hotel free parking lot, 20 meters away. Breakfast: good coffee, bread was quite hard.

  Lovely hotel, great location

  Spent five happy nights here after escaping a dreadful Pension in Pribram. From the moment we walked in the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, friendly and helpful. Top marks to every one of them. Our room was spotless, wifi worked and air conditioning was excellent and much needed as it was quite warm during our stay. Breakfast was pretty good with hot and cold selections. We were not told that it is served later on Saturdays however, so be aware of this. We walked in at 7.30am as we were checking out early and it was still being prepared. The lovely breakfast attendant told us to sit down and proceeded to serve us anyway! The impressive main square is several minutes walk away. The Pilsener brewery is maybe 15 minutes easy walk. Dozens of restaurants are also within easy walking distance and there's a huge supermarket with some fast food outlets just behind the hotel. Try the Aussie pie shop, Skippie, run by a Czech guy who lived in Australia for several years, just off the main square toward the Synagogue. Excellent! Loved our stay here and would return if in the area.

  Business hotel just outside of the city center

  A quiet business hotel just outside of the city center. The area is linked to the center by a pedestrian bridge over the river Mze. When I was there a few days ago, the access to the center via the bridge was closed, so you had to use the busy bridge for normal traffic. The area gives a bit of a dodgy feeling after dark as there is little lighting and plenty of gypsies and immigrants hanging around. Big rooms but basic. The price per room is a bit on the high side considering the location, state of the hotel and breakfast.

  Okay

  The city center is not very far which is great and there is a parking spot free of charge in front of the hotel. The room was ok, just the bed was very uncomfortable. We asked for a double bed and they just put two single bed next to each other, that slipped away the entire night, leaving a hole in the middle of the bed. In addition there was dust under the bed and the lightbulb in the room didnt work. Breakfast was ok.
