    Just a cheap hotel

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Impressions: 1.Food:poor breakfast, very poor lunch, very good dinner 2.Rooms:they were furnished like we were at the 60s 3.cleaniness: So and so if you were lucky. The hotel is huge(8 blocks) and the cleaning ladies just a few. Very pitty... 4.Animation team. Very nice guys with a smile at their face and very polite but 2 out of 3 nights we only had mini disco. No animation at all. The 1 anination night the theme was a beauty contenst which was very bad at least for my taste. 5. Staff: As everywhere in Greece, just exceptional. Every were i went the years after the crisis outbreak i can only see the same. Huge hotels, quite expensive sometimes with so few employees. They all very tired as they work unlimited unpaid overtimes and still have the filotimo to do their best. I had enough of this. I am not sayibg that this is the case with this hotel. On the contrary employees seemed quite happy, but just took the initiative to discuss a bit the general situation of this country. So, the personel was excellent. 5. Facilities: I think need some freshening. 6. The place: At the end of the road... Away from civilization but not far away. Tolo and Nafplio are about 20 klms and they are the only places around for a walk. The road has alot of turns so be carefull especially at night. Overall a mediocre hotel which is trying but has a lot of road ahead to be a 4 stars hotel. Finally the price. Very good. Low budget, so a good solution and very comfy in order to visit all the sightseeings of the area.

Best value for money - Great atmosphere

My friend and I stayed at Iria Mare for one week. We flew from Paris and the transfer from Athens to the hotel was smooth. We arrived around 10pm but they kept the restaurant and bar open for us, which was great after a long journey. The room was big with air conditioning. The room was cleaned by professional cleaning ladies every day. The restaurant of the hotel is by the private beach of the hotel and offers an amazing view outweighting the averagz quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and they all were always doing their best. From the reception to the bar, thank you all. The animation team was without a doubt the best I've ever seen. Very nice people, always smiling and happy despite the long hours they must be doing. They made sure to keep everyone happy. Exceptional people, thank you all. To sum-up, the hotel was like a family!

    Good facilities, terrible management

July 2016. The good: Large rooms, trees all over, nice beach (sandy), tennis, mini soccer, basketball courts in very good shape, 2 swimming pools. The food, was tasty. The bad: There are so many issues everywhere, was impossible not to get aggravated: -AC in 2 appt. blocks would stop at night ! (AC would work only from 12-18:00). We were told was fixed, but for 4 nights there was no AC. -The room refrigerator is so small, you can barely fit two bottles of water. -We never got a remote control for our TV. Since it had no buttons to operate it we could not even turn it on. They kept telling us they would buy new. After 8 days, they never manage to get us a remote, so no TV for us. -No hungers in the closet ! -Breakfast. Each day something was missing, that is butter, honey, juice etc. The mild was so watered-down, it was undrinkable. -Lunch, Dinner: descent, - IN general: the staff had orders to gather the food on the 'exact' minute of the scheduled time, it was almost weird. So, guests coming in 5-10' before closing found empty trays. 30' before closing, they were out of basic things. -Glasses, cups, spoons, forks... very often were extinct. -The bar: Very poor, often missing basic things: Out of white wine for 3 days, ran out of beer once, ice cream too. They did not have anything edible either. For some strange reason, they closed it at 11:00pm !!! So, if you want a beer after that time, you're out of luck. Never understood this. - You're not allowed to bring in any food or drink to the hotel. Yet the refrig/or is tiny, and if you miss dinner, there is nothing to eat anywhere !! This hotel is in great location with good rooms and facilities, but it seems that is being ran by non-professionals. In their effort to save costs, they cut down on things everywhere. The staff is good, but management is horrible.

    Easter 2016

We are a family of four and we stayed for four nights for the Greek Easter holidays. The location is idyllic, by the beach and far from city noise. We took an all inclusive package, including the Easter Sunday festivities. On Easter Saturday evening we went as normal to dine but were told that we were not allowed to eat with the group being currently served food, we had to wait to dine after midnight. We were not informed of this upon booking in, our kids were very hungry and I needed to feed them. As the hotel is far out from shops there was no where else to feed them. I asked for some broccoli and chips for the kids to eat to keep them going until after midnight. The waitress became rude and told me know I had to wait! Tell that to two small kids....She then called the manageress who arrived and lectured us on our programme, which we had never been informed of!!! It killed the mood of the Easter event, which is big in Greek culture. I am personally Catholic and have never followed the Greek Orthodox rules. I found the whole situation rude and offensive. After ALOT of negation we eventually got A SINGLE plate of broccoli and chips to share among two kids. The bar is also badly stocked and regularly out of drinking water, management could do with installing a water vending machine if they are not going to stock properly. While the location is good and quiet, rooms spacious and acceptable for price, the manageress and waitress so badly need to improve their attitudes towards guests. If you are travelling with kids watch out! Come prepared and leave nothing to chance. Get a very clear list of your package upon arrival and I would go as far as saying get it in writing!!!! This hotel is loosing value due to basic poor service and lack of flexibility when accommodating families.

    Great Stay In Greece

One of my favorite hotels in Greece. Had amazing views of the ocean. Nice swimming pool and bar area. Everyone in my group loved this hotel. Was a nice place to stay for a few nights on our way to Athens.
