Very Nice placeThe Lodge ist very nice and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and have an in- and outdoor shower (if you fancy that). The dinner was very nice too. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that it was relatively hot in the room even with the AC on. As the hotel is located in a Game Reserve I'd really recommend the Sundowner Game drive which is absolutely awesome!

Nice lodge in amazing environment, service could still improve thoughLocated in an extremely beautiful natural setting, the lodge is ideal for some quiet days in the middle of the desert. In particular we enjoyed the bushman walk. Food was very good as well. The location is simply magic. Only minus: we thought part of the staff could be more attentive and guest-oriented (a waiter could proactively ask whether one wants another drink once glasses at dinner are empty, staff members dont have to idly sit by when I carry a heavy bag myself to the car in the morning, the receptionist might want to suggest herself to cancel the dune dinner when it heavy rain is pouring the whole day instead of reacting surprised and with some dismay when we ask for it etc.) - these are in itself all fairly minor points but coming together they affected the otherwise very positive impression, even if only slightly. A great place for sure but they still could do even better.

rather disappointingThe "intu Afrika" website describes it as the "most decadent" of the 3 lodes. Arriving with some expectations was the experience rather disappointing. Standard rooms are one next to each other - little to no privacy. When the curtains are drawn, the room is so dark that one needs to switch on the lights. Curtains open - everyone walking past can look into your room. The glass door in the bathroom leads to a yard, where also by passers can have a clear look into your space. The outdoor shower is fenced with a not even shoulder-high screen, needless to mention that she is not really suitable to be used undressed (???? Excuse me, how does one shower???) The rooms are huge, but lack of decent furniture. The few pieces of interior don't really submit any African bush lodge feeling, and the lights are terrible - one needs a torch to find ones garments in the wardrobe. There was no coffee table for the set of chairs, neither inside the room nor outside on the patio. There is no walkway that connects the rooms to the pool or the restaurant, one has to walk through the sand. This was the worst planned lodge we have ever visited, so many building mistakes and such a poor layout in general. There are luxury rooms available which are more private, we found them only the next day and wondered why we didn't get an upgrade offered - we had happily spent that extra money! I give 2 points, because the food was good and the staff is friendly. The owner herself needs to improve manners.
