  Good rooms, good location - at a fair price

  The Africa Boutique is in a quiet backstreet of Kiyovu, one of the leafiest and most centrally located residential areas of Kigali. The rooms are good and the staff friendly. WiFi is also excellent. No frills here, breakfast is basic, but this is a very affordable centrally located option that is a good jumping off point for further work or adventures in Rwanda.

  I love this hotel. It is small and personal with very helpful staff. The decor is unique and full of character; it lacks the bland, conference style of many international hotels. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a private outdoor seating area; there is a small pool that is kept very clean. Breakfasts are great andntea and coffee are available all day. There is no bar or restaurant for other meals but there are several good restaurants within walking distance. Good value for money and I look forward to my next visit.

  DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

  I booked this hotel through Expedia but when I arrived at the hotel the reception staff claimed they no longer worked with Expedia, had me pay again for the room, and told me I had to sort it out with Expedia myself. Expedia told me they had to get the agreement of the hotel to provide me a refund, and I spoke to the reception desk 3 times to let them know Expedia would call for their agreement, but Expedia tells me the hotel will not agree. This hotel is running a scam on its guestsDO NOT STAY HERE!

  Fantastic place for families

  We were in the apartments which were spacious and clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. The grounds were great. Everyone really enjoyed staying here. I would definitely stay here again and I've stayed at Onomo, Umubano, Gloria and Iris on Kigali and have spent a lot of time at Marriott, Serena and Radisson. For a relaxed and local experience whether for business or holidays I would recommend this hotel highly.

  They cancelled my confirmed booking and did nothing for me

  The hotel cancelled my confirmed booking for 6 persons, 3 days before arrival. They promised to arrange alternative accomodation with the same quality, location and services. But after 3 days of fruitless and frustrating discussions, they failed to help us in any way and we were left to find a hotel ourselves in high season at high costs.
