So very niceEvery visitor flying in or out of Shannon airport should consider staying here! Mel welcomed us with a welcoming smile along with a wonderful pot of tea. Her sense of humor and great conversations were the best. Rooms were all on the first floor, quiet and extremely clean and comfortable.Location is only a few minutes from Bunratty Castle and Durty Nellies ( The Creamery is also very nice). After conversing with our hosts, one must always remember ( especially when staying at ANY B & B) that these hosts are taking care of us while they themselves live their own lives. They have us staying IN THEIR OWN HOMES and we should always respect that and remember to follow their rules such as the times we are to check-in and out! They are not hotels. They work extremely hard, along with taking care of us, they do have a life with families of their own. They are our HOSTS and not our maids or cooks!

Would go back again.10 out of 10 for this b&b. Had all the plus points, clean, tidy, food host and food. All facilities that you expect and want. The room we had included a large shower and bathroom. Close to Bunratty Castle which is worth a visit.

Once again a lovely visitWe stay with Mel and Tol every year when we travel to Ireland, always at the start and end of our visit. Appreciate how close it is to the airport. All of the ensuite bedrooms are on the first floor. The rooms are nicely decorated. You fill in a breakfast order sheet in the hallway the night before with the time and what choices you want. If you have any questions about Bunratty or Co Clare, Mel is the person with the answers.

Never Again - Shabby Accommodations, Rude OwnerIn decades of traveling, this was the single worst experience I've ever had with an accommodation of any sort. The owner of this establishment was rude and incredibly unwelcoming - in short, it's a good thing they're apparently retiring soon because she has absolutely no business being in a customer facing position. She also seemed to make a habit of creeping around behind doors and corners eavesdropping, and yelling at the little 3-legged dog who was the sole charming element here. This place also doesn't accept credit cards, and the WiFi was so slow it was almost impossible to even check email. As for the room itself, it could (generously) be described as a 2-star. The shower was a bit bigger than some of the others we came across on this trip, but obviously hadn't been cleaned well in some time as there was visible mold in the grout lines. The beds were soft enough, but the coverlets were in bad shape, some with actual rips in them. Pro tip # 1: don't stay in Bunratty - it's a tiny place with nothing there besides a tourist trap of a castle. I booked here because we were flying out of Shannon the next day and I wanted to be close to the airport, but we should have just stayed in Shannon. Pro tip #2: If you do end up in Bunratty, stay anywhere other than Innisfree B&B unless you're just partial to being treated like garbage, prefer showering in dirty bathrooms, and enjoy eating terrible scones.

Super close to Bunratty Castle! At the last minute, we needed a place to stay as we were dining at the Medieval Experience at Bunratty Castle. The friendly, helpful folks at the Bunratty GiftShop called Mel @ Innisfree because we got behind schedule with our other B&B. Mel quickly took our reservation & met us with a smile within minutes. After the banquet we headed right down the road and had a nice stay at her home.
