  Elegant wedding hotel

  Ive been to the east wind for a variety of things/events, including weddings, fundraisers, and their weekend brunch. I gotta say ive always had a nice time. The grounds and rooms are very nice and elegant, almost like being at a mansion or highend ball room. The grand staircase is very nice for picture taking as are some of the out door areas. The food is average catering hall food with a few stations and dishes that are above average. During the cocktail hours ive been to the food has been overwhelming, however that depends on the bride/grooms package. The brunch in the morning is very nice and offers a huge buffet variety. It is a little pricey though. The hotel portion of the grounds are very nice and make you feel like your staying at an upscale estate. Also a little on the pricey side for stay in wading river. Also on the grounds is a nice outdoor mall/outlet which is decorated nicely during the holidays.

  Great Location for Vinyards

  I went here for a spa/winery weekend with three girlfriends. We arrived before check in because we had spa appointments. (The spa services can be included in a hotel package, but the spa is a separate business, from what I understand.) I was surprised that the receptionist seemed reluctant to let us leave our luggage, a service that I would automatically expect at a hotel. When she finally agreed to take the luggage, she gave us a hard time about leaving our coats and suggested that we put them in the spa lockers! In addition to having a coffee maker in the room, from my experience, most hotels also offer free coffee at least in the morning, but not here. The room did not have a mini-fridge, so my friend asked for one to be delivered. The heat was very noisy. The bed and pillows were very soft. The rooms are decorated with gaudy elegance that lacked charm. The servers at the hotel restaurant Desmonds were excellent, and the food was expensive but decent. Overall, although the room was clean and the spa was excellent, I would rather have stayed somewhere else for the price.

  Clean, safe, huge accommodations

  I booked this property with 2 girlfriends on a wine tasting trip to the North Fork of Long Island. We stayed here during July 4 weekend, right after the NYC metro area was loosening restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were pleasantly surprised, as the Inn and Spa exceeded all our expectations. We needed immaculate rooms to prevent illness. The lobby and room were very clean. We also expected a crowded hotel due to the July 4 weekend, but the hotel was mostly empty. Finally, we thought we were going to get small or medium sized rooms, but the lobby and room were both large. In a quiet, large, and meticulously clean hotel, we could not have a safer, more relaxing experience. The one minor comment I have is that parking can be hard to find, but the staff directed us right away. Thank you, Inn and Spa, for providing a quiet, clean experience and temporary escape from real life and COVID-19.

  Wonderful Stay!

  We stayed here after a day spent at Greenport Village and a few stops at the wineries. The Inn is very beautiful and the staff was very kind. The suite was spacious and clean. We will definitely return.

  Could be so much more

  This hotel is gorgeous when you walk in, the halls are lovely (broken up by pretty stairs), and the rooms are huge, which I love. The devil is in the details: mildewy shower curtain, uncleared spot on the amenities tray (toothpaste?), sink drain that wouldnt go down, and worst of all a weird musty smell in the room that wouldnt go away (I always travel with Lysol spray and I kept spraying the room and AC vent to no avail). I was in room 221. There was a little mold in the bathtub grout, and the closet smelled like your grandmothers attic. Just overall I could not get comfortable there cleanliness wise, and this had nothing to do with COVID. Service wise, they dont quite get it right had to ask twice for towels and trash emptying. The front desk staff is mixed in helpfulness and knowledge. I feel like with a little effort, this place could be so much better more knowledgeable staff, new shower curtains, cleaning the HVAC, maybe upgraded coffee makers in the rooms. I will say the staff at Desmonds was superb.
