    Excellent hospitality

The hotel is conveniently located in a walking distance from the Ise Jingu shrine. It's a pretty new hotel with younger staff, who all were full of great hospitality. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfy. They had variations of colorful Yukata (easy-wearing kimono-type bathrobe) to choose from. It was fun to stroll wearing them to the hot-spring bath. My room even had a small ceder outdoor bath tub on the balcony! It was a dream like experience to dip in a hot spa viewing the forest of the shrine just in front of me. They provided guests with complimentary snacks, popsicles, and drinks from 4:30 am (traditional bread for early visitors to the shrine) to 23:30 (ramen noodles). When I was just to leave the hotel at 5 am to visit the shrine before dawn, it started to rain. I almost returned to my room for an umbrella, when a hotel staff at the entrance offered one for me. He also offered me a disposable body-warmer to carry in my pocket as it was a chilly morning. The dinner and the breakfast were very good too, with so many kinds of food. I would love to stay there again.

Wonderful - Modern Japanese Onsen Experience

Travelling by JR in our trip to Ise last December, this hotel is conveniently locate near Isuzugawa Station, midway between Ise-Jingu Shrine and Toba. Hotel offers free pick-up service. This hotel features 4 floors, with fully furnished tatami corridors. It has a modern Japanese interior, luxurious and warm ambience. Staff at the reception were very helpful and can speak English fluently. The room we stayed in faced the back of the mountain slope featuring landscape terrace with bamboo plantations. It has a spacious interior and blinds that separate the living room area from the sleeping futons. A significant highlight of the room is an outdoor furo bath and a hand held coffee grinder which guests can make their own coffee at their leisure. The onsen like traditional onsen resorts, are seperated into Male and Female areas. There are 4 themed private onsen bath available in a sunken courtyard. The Onsen Dinner and Breakfast at this hotel is also worth mentioning. With a selection of Japanese and Western dishes, the portion were generous and filling. The taste of the morning breakfast was very good and staff were prompt in serving the meals. Followed by a long soak in the onsen and finishing the night with a hearty bowl of ramen. All in all, it was a wonderful experience! I will be travelling with my husband to this hotel again this April. Looking forward to staying there again.

    Wonderful onsen and spa

This accommodation features an indoor and outdoor pools. Upon arrival, you have to remove your shoes as the hotel has tatami flooring installed all over the hallways. Male and female have separate wet area. The pools are hot. There are lockers to store your robe and things before entering the hot pools. Our room has it's own wooden tub outside at the balcony overlooking the forest. The mattresses were fresh, clean and comfortable. We were provided with a set of jinbei to wear. Yukata were also available at lounge if you like to wear a yukata. There are free water and ice lollies outside after you are finished with the onsen. Smoking area is along the balcony. Vending machines are found on the second and third floors. You can smell the tatami mats as you go around the hotel. There's a souvenir shop near the reception area. An overnight stay is inclusive of dinner, midnight snack and breakfast. The restaurant is wonderful and the delicious meals are served in Japanese style (several courses).. The hot pools are open most of the time, though the staff will clean the wet area at 03:00. Check in is around 15:00 and check out is at 10:00

great hotel just nearby The Neiku

stayed 2nights. Good service, good meals, good location (10 min to the Shrine, a few min to The shopping street) and good hot spring. Rooms are not huge but comfortable. You can have ice lollipop, small rice balls, light breakfast, Yogi drinks and Ramien noodle all for free!! no extra charge. Wonderful! All staff are young and very good hospitality. Everyone say "Konichiwah " to us with big smile. Our waitress Marina was very kind girl. She can speak English well. She must be a receptionist! coz there is no English speaker at the reception. Hope to come back hotel ikyu again.

Overpriced - great location, mediocre everything else

I've stayed at more than 20 hotpsprings ryokan in Japan. Speaking from my experience, this ryokan is overprice Pro: - great location - walkable distance to Ise Jingu Naiku - perfect for sunrise visit Con: - mediocre everything else - from food to the actual hotpsring itself - for that price I have had better onsen ryokan experience, especially given this is in Ise and not big lcoations like Hakone I would recommend for the location only
