  A pleasant stay

  I arrived at the Ingtara hotel after a 10 hour drive and was meet by a pleasant young man who directed us to the underground car park he took us into the hotel and my first impression was wow for a reasonable priced hotel i was really surprised the reception staff where first class the rooms were clean and large although the bathroom could have been a little larger as i am not a small man we dined on the roof top restaurant which was excellent and once again reasonable priced and once again the staff where very intensive the only draw back was the breakfast which i think could be improved on but that will not stop me staying at the Intara hotel again

  Latest visit

  After being booked in here by someone else, I was disappointed to find I could have done it for myself cheaper online. On the surface it looked clean but after a short time I noticed that lots of detail had been missed for example, the large glass wall between the foyer and reception had only been cleaned to halfway up! What an awesome position that could be the basis for a great visit. Breakfast very boring in a sterile characterless enviroment. In saying all that, and being quite negative, the bed was comfortable, the outlook great and was location and the price reasonable for what you got.

  Cheap and Good

  The room is comfortable and clean. With extra pillows. The shower and water pressure is great. Wifi is good too. The rooftop restaurant is awesome. There is 2 711 nearby. Quite a number of food choices around.

  Besides the night staff horrible hospitality.

  Bathroom floods with water, annoying sun beaming through the window. Daytime receptionist were very rude and unwelcoming. I had originally booked 6 nights and moved hotels after only two nights. Will never stay here again!!

  Looks Can Be Deceiving

  From the outside, the hotel looks nice - almost like a resort, and the lobby is impressively "artsy" looking. However, the room looks just TOO plain and ordinary - no artwork, no painting, no different colours - simply boring! It's as if most of the $ have been spent on the external looks and the beautiful rooftop, so there's not enough $ to decorate the rooms. The hotel also looks like it's still undergoing renovation, especially in the rooftop dining area. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Bathing area is small, and instead of a glass door, a cheap plastic shower screen is used - seriously? I also find not much thoughts have been given to the practicality of the design of the bathroom - the shower head faces the shower screen, thus splashing water all over the floor. Both bathroom and room are also dim. Language-wise, the staffs are not very proficient in English. The hotel is also situated very close to the Khon Kaen Lake, as well as walking distance to the famous temple - Wat Phra Mahathat. Food-wise, there are also some eateries and restaurants around, including a 7-Eleven. (Note: Dining at the rooftop is not expensive, so it's a good idea to enjoy the night view from the roof while dining too.) Room-wise, the room I had faced the afternoon sun, which makes it extra hot. Air-conditioning is also not very cold. Sadly, internet is spotty - most of the time slow, and one frequently loses connection.
