  Weekend Cabin Stay

  My husband and I stayed in cabin on a Friday and Saturday, We were there because we couldn't get a decent priced hotel room near Layfette for a game . The cabin is much better than a small hotel room, It was clean and it was quiet, The people who checked us in were very friendly and helpful. We didn't go to the amusement park. The power did go out on Saturday but it was back on when we got back from game. The one thing that I didn't like was that there isn't a curtain or blind on the door that leads to the deck. The people in that cabin could look right into our cabin and we could look in theirs. I finally got a beach towel to cover it, Other than that it was okay,

  Another positive experience at the Beach Inn

  We stayed at the Beach Inn (formerly Boardwalk Motel) a few weeks ago, which we typically do when we stay at IB. It is a great location right by the entrance of the park, and love sitting out on the balcony with a view of the park. The room is updated and clean, beds are comfortable. The only thing I wish they'd do is make the Skyroom Suites more affordable again. We used to book one of those--they are the best places to stay in the park--view of boardwalk AND lake, but the last couple of years they really raised the prices and it's just too much (we pay less for luxury hotel rooms elsewhere). I'd love to be able to stay in one of those again. But the Beach Inn comes in a decent second and I recommend staying there if you want to be on the property.

  It was an excellent location a very nice townhouse with good amenities and only one issue..... The Queen size bed was awful! Our family trip would literally have been perfect if it had not been for that bed. The other beds, couch, and fouton were all sufficient But at that price we would have expected a decent mattress. I would recommend putting a doormat down by the back door and bring a fly swatter but that was due to everybody going in-and-out all of the time. The staff was excellent and friendly. They were very helpful with anything that we requested. We probably should have requested different mattress! We would definitely recommend this is a place to stay. We would have given it four 1/2 stars but it only let me pick four or five... I just couldn't do five with that bed.

  Friendly amenities, updates needed

  We go here annually with a large group. There are plenty of amenities however facilities needed updating. Would still recommend, however it would be nice to be close to a forest preserve or walking trails for nature access while camping in grounds.

  Never again, dirty, loud, a waste

  Thought it would be nice to stay in a cabin so my teens could be close to the park. Cabin was dirty. Dirt and paper on the bathroom floor, walls dirty in the bedroom, what appears to be dried blood on the bathroom door, sticky spots on the comforter, etc. Cabins are super close to each other, meaning you can hear people party all night( which three people around us did, worth kids hitting our cabin walls until well after 1am. Awful, not worth it and we will never stay again.
