Convenient location, quiet (relatively) neighborhoodThis hotel is conveniently located near Independence Monument. Many attractions such as the Royal Palace and the National Museum are within walking distances. The glitzy Naga Hotel and Casino is also within a short walk. On the other hand, the main entrance of the hotel faces away from the busy main street and so it is fairly quiet. The complex includes regular hotel rooms and villas for longer stays. In the hotel room, you can enjoy the sunrise over the confluence of the Tonle Sap river and the Mekong. The rooms are spacious but the appointments are mostly basic. The swimming pool is nicely maintained. The breakfast is OK, with a mix of western and Asian dishes. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Wifi is available in the room and common areas. However, the internet connection can be extremely slow. It definitely needs upgrade.

Great location and sub-standard hotelGood location overlooking the Mekong river and walkable distance from the city attractions. Old hotel and almost run down. Below average breakfast spread. The construction on the river is an eye sore, but the good river view and the location make up for it.

Good location & breakfast, decent rooms, terrible wifiI stayed here for 10 nights recently, for business purposes. Was upgraded to an executive room upon arrival because of the conference happening there that I was attending - a nice surprise and provided slightly better value for money (rate was $60 per night regardless of upgrade). The hotel is spread horizontally across a fairly large property - consisting mostly of villas and a few hotel style rooms in its main buildings. Although near to the river, I think only a couple of the standard rooms actually have a river view. Nonetheless, the location is relatively convenient, sitting between the BKK and Riverside areas. The room itself was fine, albeit a bit dated. Executive room included living room with TV, couch, desk, etc. and a bedroom with another TV. Room was quiet and comfortable, apart from the odd roach or two. The food available was great. I ordered a few items from room service and found them tasty. The breakfasts were consistently great. Lots of variety - with some items changing every day - and consisting mainly of Asian dishes (a good thing! - none of the Western garbage usually on offer). Another nice plus was that they had a business centre for printing and photocopying and these were available at no charge! That said, I had two issues with this hotel: The first was that the cleaning service wasn't great. Have never had a problem with cleaning services in hotels, but here, I'm certain that they never cleaned the carpet in my living room and they also did not replace my soaps and shampoos when it was clear that I had run out. The second, more major, one is that the wifi available in my room was probably the worst I've ever had. This is a big problem when you're travelling for business! 56k dial up would've been faster. Between the hours of 5pm till 12am, the wifi became totally unusable and was extremely slow at other times. Wifi in other parts of the hotel - e.g., conference room and dining hall - were faster. In my uninformed opinion of how wifi works, they should try to shift some of this speed toward the rooms. Overall, then, I probably wouldn't return unless the hotel dramatically boosted its wifi speed, as this is totally crippling for a business traveller.

Decent hotel... good locationStayed in this hotel on business trip. Was booked by the host. Hotel feels a little old because of state of furniture, carpet, toilet fittings etc. Front destination staff was very helpful during our stay. We used the hotel restaurant for buffet breakfast only. The food preperation was nice but very limited options for vegetarians. Swimming pool is usable. Things to consider before booking this hotel : The hotel does not have lift and rooms are generally located on upper floors. The hotel is around 300 m inside the main boundary gate of villa enclosure. Thus you may need to walk a little to reach the main road. The room air conditioning is not very powerful and rooms have greenhouse effect making them very warm. All in all I would suggest this hotel if you are looking for mid budget accomodate on in Phnom Penh at walkable distance from the grand palace.

Nice and quiet hotel with good standardStayed here during a business trip, it is away from the busy streets but still within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful, restaurant served nice food although the breakfast was not very impressive (but western style with bread and egg etc). Well function rooms but not high class, the only negative thing was the wifi which was really bad at the rooms but okey at common areas. Good value for your money!
