  Comfortable, quiet and very well located apartment!

  My husband and I stayed one night at the Iluka Motel, owned by David and Delia McMaster, in our way to Gold Coast. We stayed in the last apartment to the right of the building, next to the stairs. The apartment is upstairs and it is necessary to climb three flights of stairs. As the trip was long, we have carried many and very heavy luggage. As I am a light sleeper, we are always in doubt of what is less worse: staying downstairs and risking head noise or taking the heavy bags up. Luckily David, very attentive, helped us carry the luggage upstairs. The apartment is simple but comfortable and quiet. I point out that the air conditioning is very good and quiet and still has two ceiling fans. The beds are with firm and comfortable mattresses; the sheets are good and clean; the pillows could be softer. The armrobe is large with several hangers. The apartment also features the convenience of blackout curtains, free Wifi, free Foxtel TV, telephone and full length mirror. We have loved the delicious complimentary Aussies biscuits. In the kitchenette there is a microwave, a two-burner portable cooktop, an electric pan, a toaster, a kettle. The fridge is small (motel standard) but efficient. It has few pans, but other kitchenware OK. The size of the bathroom is good but it is worn out; Anyway everything works. The box is of good size but the hot and cold water registers are separated and it is very difficult to regulate a nice water temperature. The towels are large and absorbent. There are also facial tissues in the bathroom. There is a private balcony at the back side of the apartment with a deck chair and a small table with 2 chairs. The parking is free. There is a free guest laundry in the basement. The IGA Supermarket is 1 block walking distance The hotel is close to the beach.

  Great Motel.

  Very good motel, situated in a great area with shops just around the corner and a petrol garage not far away with an IGA shop next door. Everything is very close to this motel. New owners have got this motel running very good. We had room 2 that was all self contained with a queen sized bed and two very good single beds. Breakfast is available if needed. Very good price.

  Great weekend.

  Been here twice now and they have shown how motels should be run. Motel rooms beautiful and spacious, clean, and most of all smelt clean, credit to house keeping. Manager went out of his way to assit, very friendly and willing to stop for yarn, made us feel most welcome. Thank you for a great two nights.

  Very pleasant

  Great value accommodation in a central location. The room was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. The small private patio was a bonus. Management are very helpful and staff are great. I was able to check into my room a few hours early for no charge. Would definitely stay again.

  Beyond perfect, everything had attention to detail, the host was lovely and gardens gorgeous. Wish I could have stayed longer! The cafe around the corner was amazing called Something Tasty but spelled wrong, she knows food! Happy Couple will be booking our kids a room here just cause!!
