Disappointing stay in the middle of nowhere
We regretted staying here it was easily the worst of the places we stayed in Sicily. The location is middle-of-nowhere at least 25 mins to drive to Siracusa centre. The reception staff speak no English (which is fine) but are cold to the point of being rude. The rooms in this B&B are nicely decorated but are poor in standard dark, bad smells/ insects in the bathroom. Breakfast is poor (although served by a the cleaner, who is lovely) packs containing croissants, little to no fruit, and coffee. Siracusa itself is ABSOLUTELY GOREGOUS! Beautiful squares, great food, scenic harbour, cute shops. Lovely way to spend a couple of days lovely architecture too. Noto is also a day trip away from the hotel 1-1.5 hour drive. This is a very quiet but beautiful town. Lots of stairs to climb if you want the good views, so bring your walking shoes! A note that the best way around Sicily mainland is by car in 2 weeks no the island, we barely saw any buses. The exception is the Aeolian islands, where buses are pretty regular. And pack your Italian phrasebook! English is not spoken widely.

quiet and beautiful place
We spent the night in many places, it fell to us to enjoy. quiet place with a huge garden. private parking with automatic gate. very strange form of the house, but nice. many plants and flowers around. friendly staff. Breakfast very good, they serve coffee even American. at breakfast you can watch TV. the breakfast is served ham, hard cheese, cream cheese. A freshly toasted bread. you can do warm sandwiches. very tasty and rich breakfast. Fresh air, no smog, urban feel, a very good place to rest and relax. sympathetic writing on the wall, MIRTO E LA ROSA. the hotel has three stars, however, service, cleanliness and commitment to employees for a holiday, give it more than 5 in the evening you can relax outside on a bench. We spent a wonderful week in a wonderful location

Friendly B&B
Spent three nights in this friendly Bed and Breakfast and really enjoyed it. We had an ensuite double room which was well equipped and clean. We were given fresh towels daily and after two nights our bedlinen were changed. The breakfast was served from 8 to 10 and consisted of bread with different spreads, fruits, caffè, yoghurts, juices etc. We had the additional choice of scrambled eggs each morning. The owner is very friendly and helpful and provided us with a map of Siracusa when we arrived. Unlike stated in other reviews according to which the B&B is located 20-30m by car from Siracusa, we made it to Ortigia twice in less than 15m (approx. 10km). Free and safe parking in the front yard. We would definitely recommend this place!

A great, welcoming and pleasant stay.
The villa, in the sicilian countryside, is equipped with rooms furnished with taste and considerable attention to the services and cleanliness. It is an ideal starting point for visiting and deepening the knowledge of its surroundings from Syracuse to Noto and beyond. it is impotant obviously. to go there by having a car for all the trips around. (the B & B has a good internal parking.too) For the summer there are near beautiful beaches from Arenella to Ognina and Fontane Bianche. The rooms located on the first floor need to be accessed via a short but somewhat steep staircase.
