  it was the first time i stayed in a b&b ...it was a nice and familiary place in a quite and peacefull neighbourhood, ...mr Ubaldo is a walking encyclopedia, he is the perfect teacher and he learned us al kinds of things about Venice ( so it seemed we were on treasurehunt..) I can recommend this b&b to people who like a quiet stay .

  Stay Here While In Venice

  We cannot highly enough recommend a stay with Paola and Uberto. They are as gracious as is the high quality of their home and its furnishings. They accommodated our need for a later than usual arrival. The breakfasts on the patio were very pleasant. We found the ferry trips to and from Venice to be an enjoyable way to begin and end the day sightseeing. With our hosts' (professional) guidance we made the most out of our limited time there. We also found our fellow guests to be friendly and interesting. We spent one day touring with a young couple from Singapore. We did not have time to explore or enjoy Lido, unfortunately. But, we did find the bus service excellent. Fellow passengers were helpful and pleasant. Depending on how long you stay, there are various bus and ferry pass options. The train station is reached much more quickly from Lido than the other way round. This is due to the rotation of the ferries and water taxis. The system is something to watch especially when the gondolas are mixed in. In the evenings, the ferries pass lighted villas and plazas. Sweet. Again, we strongly suggest you stay at Il Glicine Fiorito. We also recommend booking direct with the owners.

  Great Stay and Great Location

  Highly recommend this b&b to anybody thinking of going to Venice. A 10 minute bus ride from the centre of Lido and a 2 minute walk from the bus stop, with bus's running every 10 minutes it really couldn't be easier! Lovely and peaceful location, fantastic warm welcome and local knowledge from Ubaldo and Paola. They were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was spacious and had everything we could have needed and more. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

  Affordable B&B

  Paula and her husband were very friendly, and we enjoyed staying in their house. They keep their home clean and organized. It was easy to get to Venice from the B&B, and we also visited the Lido beach. The Lido beach is pretty good, and we enjoyed swimming in the sea. We didn't think breakfast was generous or very tasty. After breakfast, we even purchased extra food/hot coffee because we didn't like what we got in the B&B.

  Great family-run B&B

  This B&B is located in a large apartment which in a neighborhood of other apartments only two blocks from the bus stop and is run by the Fumatos who also live there. Pros - Extremely clean (you even have to remove your shoes at the front door). The good and ample European breakfast is served on the patio if weather is good or otherwise in the dining room. Internet was good and dependable. Extra pillows provided cheerfully upon request. Quite neighborhood resulted in good sleep. Ubraldo was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with local history and any other questions we had. Cons - Bath was on a different floor than the room. Internet was a little slow at times. B&B is a little difficult to find but Ubraldo is happy to come to the bus stop and pick you up. Lido island, where this B&B is located, turned out to be a great choice for us. Ferry rides to San Marco or the islands every day were care free and relaxing. Lido gave us a break from the intensity and crowds of Venice and it is a beautiful island with lots of restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches.
