URGE WOMEN TO NOT STAY HEREIf there was an option to give 0 I would. I am not one to usually leave reviews but in this case I need to. If you are a woman who is traveling solo DO NOT stay at this B&B. The owner made me so uncomfortable I ended up leaving after my second night and staying elsewhere. On my second morning during breakfast he crossed the line and went as far as attempting to rub my shoulders and asked me to return that afternoon for a massage. Upon my arrival back to my room that day he saw me walk in and called for my attention. I ignored it and continued to my room. In a period of 10 minutes he had knocked on my door and rang my buzzer 3 times. Each time standing closer and closer to my door. I did not sleep in my room that night. The following day I was shopping around in town and he sought me out questioning me as to why I had not spent the night in my room and if I was going to be sleeping there that night. Feeling even more uncomfortable at that point I did not want to let him know where I was sleeping. When I would not answer he got frustrated and then asked where his key was. I told him that he had already been paid for my stay and that I would return my key when I checked out. I was too uncomfortable to go alone when checking out so I brought someone with me. Again, if you are a female and traveling solo DO NOT stay here.

Fantastic again. We last spent a week here 4 years ago and for our anniversary weekend decided to return to Ravello for a short break We had no hesitation in messaging Pietro directly as we had stayed in contact via social media since the last visit Wonderful service, nice clean rooms with towels changed everyday. Excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day and the company of Pietro who I now class as a friend Until the next time x

Honeymoon stayOur experience at Il Ducato Di Ravello was very good. The owner had some good recommendations for local food that we used and we were easily able to extend our stay at short notice. The hotel is very well placed in Ravello for exploring and the included breakfast was excellent.

Slightly disappointing end to our holidayWe stayed at Il Ducato for 4 nights at the end of October. The hotel is well located, close to the Piazza Duomo. The price of the room was reasonable and the room was a good size and had a small safe. The breakfast in the morning was also good - with Peter providing a fruit salad, rolls, croissants, yogurts, juice and hot drinks. The hotel faces a car park and so most of the rooms will not have a view, although the terrace we ate breakfast on was nice and had a view of the other side of the valley. Generally speaking, we found the hotel to be underwhelming and we were surprised by the excellent reviews. Our room did not appear to be cleaned very thoroughly and the bed sheets had marks on them which made us wonder how clean they were as well! This would have been a 3 star review for the reasons listed above, however we returned to our room late one afternoon at 5.30pm after being out hiking all day. We found the door and window to our room unlocked and left wide open. Our room was on the ground room and there was no gate or security which would have prevented people from entering our room. The reception was closed and Peter was away from the hotel at the time. When Peter returned to the hotel that evening, I explained that our door and window had been left open, he first told me this was impossible and couldn't have happened. When I showed him photos we had taken of the open door and window, he then said that the cleaner must have been in the room. When I told him that the room was empty, he finally accepted that the door and window had been left open accidentally by the cleaner but that he was 100% confident that it was impossible that anyone had accessed our room. It was entirely possible that someone could have accessed our room, the door was left open, the room was on the ground floor and accessible to the public. Peter's customer service and care was very poor, we didn't feel welcomed by him or that he treated the incident with sufficient seriousness. It was an underwhelming and disappointing end to our honeymoon.
