  Worth for Money

  The room is tidy and clean, but a little bit old. The owner is really good and nice to customers. She knows some English. The food is good. In conclusion, I think it is really worthy for money.

  Horrible night at so called traditional ryokan

  we were looking for a night in a traditional ryokan in Japan and chose this one. it wasn't cheap but so be it. It turned out to be a nightmare. Although the place looks like and is sold as a traditional ryokan for me this place felt like a student condo . This house has 4 rooms with paper thin walls. Therefore the staff asks you to be quiet in respect of the other guests. Staff is located in another building 10' away. This is a chain with 8 buildings of which 7 is with rooms to sleep and the 8th has reception and restaurant. That night there were 14 people sleeping there in a total of 4 rooms. Some arrived around 10u30 pm and a bunch more around 11u30 pm. They went for showers, hairdrying etc until 1pm. Off course that all makes a lot of noice in those kind of places and the problem is there is no staff on-site to ask people to be more quiet. We did call the reception which is located 10min away and they came over once asking people to be more quiet and then they were gone for the night. We were hoping for an experience with traditional food served in the room but that is not what you are getting here. This is just a place to sleep with no supervision. So if you want to sleep very cheap with 8 people in one room on a futon this is the place to be, if you are looking for a traditional ryokan stay away here.
