  Beautiful surroundings but not 5*

  I am surprised by the percentage of raving reviews and think they must have been somewhere else or the quality plummeted since they visited. On the positive: The site is located in a peaceful and beautiful area. The exterior is very well kept and you notice sport courts on the way down to the parking (tennis and basketball). Also there is a nice lake, to which the hotel and restaurant have a view. The staff is in general friendly and professional. The Spa offers towels and bathrobes and removes used items frequently. The toilette in the hotel room has interesting functionality- like youll find in Asia (flushing your bottoms, wind dry the same, warm toilette seat and massage). Tiles in the bathroom has electric heating in the floor. The bed was good and I slept well - good curtains and no disturbing direct sunlights in the morning. Breakfast looks delicate and the staff is helpful when getting hot food. Girls in the reception in hotel and spa was friendly and professional. The hotel has a lot of sports activities for guests, if you want something more than sitting/eating/spa. - Areas for improvement - Spa: Due to corona the access was claimed to be limited - however the spa was crowded when we were there (we counted 15-16 people in the open area). With this amount of people, there was a waiting line for everything- jacuzzi takes 4-5 adults, so if you are in, other people are waiting. This goes for the infrared sauna too (takes 2). The vitamin D lamps - one of these stopped working while we were there. Changing room very small: 2-3 people in the wardrobe and it is full - *one* single shower - it is good for a private house, but for a spa it makes a big bottleneck when people are changing/leaving. Also - 5 star spa with lots of small children running around? Maybe make a separate children area, and let adults relax in the (adults)spa? Does it compare favourably to the Fitus gym in Vilnius? Our company think not so. Hotel room: Family room has good size but it is begging for being refurbished. The interior and devices are from pre mobile phone area as the rooms has 3 old type phones including a wireless phone in the bath room. The shower area was a basic bath tub and cheap plastic wall (hinged, three sections) that squeak when you move it). It is a cheap product I would never put in my home, but you will find similar in 3 star hotels. The floor heating is uneven and not all of the floor has heating cables under the tiles (close to the wall, next to the bedroom). The room has poor sound proofing and we heard very well people above us walking in their room. Luckily they did not dance or have a party. The lock/handle at the bathroom in one of the rooms was almost breaking down (loose, close to falling off), showing lack of maintenance. Breakfast: 5 star breakfast and nothing to drink except coffee/tea? No juice offered at all, unless you asked in the bar - where you can pay for having juice with the breakfast. Maybe it is 5 stars service by soviet standards? The smoked salma was of variable quality- some good and some hard and really not edible. The food in general was ok-good, but what makes it 5*? I have had better breakfasts and service at 4* hotels - both in service and selections of food. Like a British guest noted after an earlier visit - there was nobody showing us the facilities - game room etc, no extra for feeling welcome, no extra fixing of the room for the afternoon/evening. We (needed) ask for transport of luggage from the parking lot to the hotel and after 4-5 minutes, a guy arrived and brought our things to the room (with me helping to carry from his golf car to the room). Same procedure for checkout - need ask for it - then you get the transport. This place need investments to be up to date and it need better maintenance. The place has a great potential, but need a bit of work. Would I go back? Not as it is now - there are better alternatives.

  Weekend at Esperanza

  A very luxorious place. The staff is very polite and helpfull, the food is delicious. The whole family enjoyed the spa. Cofee in the room was great :) and the view from the balcony...10 points. Will be back soon!

  Fascinating place,that makes you want to come again and again.

  Real oasis of beauty and tranquility,there you can hide from the noise of city,relax and have a great choice from entertainment and a lot sport activities, And for those who like gather mushrooms,there is ideal place. There are a lot of them in their own ,well-groomed forest. The staff was exceptional courteous , heartily advising on all issues,.,communicating. The young administrator kindly helped me with a variety of problems. The spacious room and picturesque scenery from terrace was magnificent. The breakfast was copious,with wide choice of various dishes, fresh and delicious. I would defintly visit it again, Everything was overwhelming positive.

  Excellent holidays

  Comfortable accommodation, luxury treatment, wonderful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere and delicious food - all these points induced, that we really enjoyed our family weekend in Esperanza Resort & SPA.

  romantic dinner

  I planned my engagement proposal here with a romantic dinner and everything was perfect. Josafat was our waiter for our romantic dinner and he was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend this place! He went above and beyond. Amazing!
