    Awful

The hotel is awful, staff are really rude. Have to climb 882919 stairs to get to rooms that are full of ants and aggressive cats full of fleas surround the hotel. Wouldnt stay again if I was paid to checked out early and stayed elsewhere

    not for all

Ideal Panorama is not a hotel for the people who are having trouble walking or climbing stairs, because believe me there are an awful lot of stairs to climb, but I think apart from the mountain climbing and the stairs it is a very nice hotel

    Worst hotel ever

Ideal panorama is the worst all inclusive hotel Ive ever stayed at. The room we had looked nothing like it was advertised, it was tiny. Food was awful especially if youre a vegetarian/vegan, my friend lived on rice, chips, waffles and salad as thats all there was for her to eat in the hotel. She not a vegetarian by choice its because the protein in meat makes her physically sick. The labels on the food isnt clear either, my friend had what was labelled plain rice, luckily before she started eating it I noticed there was shredded chicken mixed into it, Im allergic to chilli so have to be very careful. We ended up spending most of our spending money in restaurants. The evening food was mainly food left over from the night before. I had beef curry one night which was actually left over liver from the night before and not beef just put in a curry sauce! If you have any food allergies or intolerances I wouldnt recommend this hotel as there are signs around saying they dont cater for this and eat at your own risk! On a plus side the fresh bread and desserts were good. Pool was tiny as it was let alone water polo being played! The description says 2 pools, we only found out that the other pool was in the building opposite. The pool area wasnt cleaned, I know its common sense to clean up after yourself but unfortunately some guests dont have this. Due to sticky cups around the bees are attracted and in the space of half hour 2 people were stung. Reception staff werent helpful at all, WiFi only works in reception and the restaurant, the lobby area is very tired looking. I know this isnt a massive thing but when you need to contact family at home its important. Drinks served in cardboard cups what are we children?! I understand health and safety round the pool but whats wrong with plastic ones? And also very watered down. Most of the drinks are do it yourself ones from a machine. With the cold drinks if you get 2 by the time you finish one the cardboard cup on the second had started leaking. The locks on the inside of the room where pointless as didnt attach to anything. You need to lock the door inside with the key at night, but you have to be quick or all the lights turn off. The TVs automatically switch off at 1am so if you cant sleep you cant even watch that. It says there are English channels but its either the news or has a Turkish voice over. Shower wasnt cleaned in a week, only made one bed each day and not the other. In a mini bar on an all inclusive Ive always had water, soft drinks, snacks, alcohol etc, this one was 2 bottles of water and 2 cartons of juice in a warm fridge and wasnt refilled daily! You had to keep the empty water bottles and refill them from the machines. No kettle or hot drink facilities in the room so take your own kettle, or walk up and down at least 4 sets of stairs with hot drinks burning your hands as there arent any trays either. So many steps to the rooms, we were in room 177 and took us nearly 4 mins to walk up the steps and were quite fit. If you stay in the other part of the hotel you need to walk up a very steep slope and more steps to get food and use the pool in the main part of the hotel. There is a small shop to purchase things from and reasonably priced. Cookies and hot drinks were the worse ever the cookies were so dry it was like eating sand and the tea/coffee was all a do it yourself push button job, with no milk for tea. Meant to be a 4 star hotel! It was more like a 2!!! We later found out it was the hotel that gave themselves a 4 star rating which was like me giving myself a 5 star Michelin rating for beans on toast. The beach for the ideal panorama is tiny and you might aswell share a sunbed with someone as they are that close together. For 2 people sharing the room is very small with only 8 hangers and 2 draws for all your clothes so we lived out of our suitcases for a week. They are very tired looking rooms that need a lot of tlc. Marmaris itself is amazing for shopping and nightlife. Dont forget to barter on the shops to get the best price. Alex who works in ideal shoes is lovely and will help you out with great deals. I would recommend the apple bar (Charlie is so funny and will help you change money up for the best price and help with cheaper excursions), the pop in steakhouse and bar and no name bar. Aswell as the Viking bar on on the beach, the food their was amazing, service fantastic and free sunbeds when you get food and drink there. The sand is still imported If you are a female with large boobs the local men wont leave you alone so be prepared also helps to get good deals in the shops lol. If you go to bar street always ask for the price of drinks up front, DONT pay by card always cash as some people have had things added to their bills, dont wear gold out as its busy and pick pockets target drunk people. We did 3 excursions they were the boat trip with a foam party and a Turkish harman bath, it was a lovely day and we loved the fact you stopped and had a swim in the sea, a lot of people on the boat so hard to move around, the cocktail was hard to tell what it actually was. When it came to lunch we were served chicken, pasta and salad, we asked what the vegetarian option was to which all they did was take the chicken off the plate!! The other one was the jeep safari. The water fight you have is a laugh but you have to borrow the water pistols for 20 lira and most are broken. Its more like a sight seeing day in an open jeep (some where just about road worthy), our driver tried to sell me weed! No drinks provided you have to taken them with you or buy them when you stop for lunch. Which again isnt great. The waterfall you visit is beautiful, flip flops arent suitable. The Turkish bath was lovely but very dark and dingy and the massage was more like a tickle and not much was explained. During both the jeep and boat trips we were told it was all inclusive but had to pay for chips, ice cream and other drinks. I would go back to marmaris and recommend it to people just NEVER stay at the ideal panorama unless you want to be very disappointed, with a small dirty pool, tiny room and so many stairs you never want to see another set again! As its so cheap to eat etc out there it would be fest to either go self catering or half board.

    Definitely Stay Again

Would just like to start by saying that the hotel is situated on top of a steep hill and that their is one elevator and it takes you up one flight and then there is loads and loads of stairs!! However it wasnt much of a problem for my partner and myself (we are in no way fit), but it was tiring and wasnt exactly what you wanted after a meal and a couple of drinks. The hotel does fairly state all this and that its not wheelchair friendly. We also had a lovely gentleman carry our bags all the way up which was great. I absolutely loved the room, it was decorated nicely and you didnt feel cramped in. The bathroom was a tad on the smaller side and the shower smaller than youd expect but does the job regardless. We had a lovely balcony that caught the sun at the right time, huge bonus. However, WiFi doesnt reach the rooms (only hotel facilities and lobby) and the tv was rather small and had one English speaking channel which was the news. Overall the room was very clean and the bed was comfy, couldnt really ask for more. Oh and there was a free mini bar (juice and water) that was refilled every day. I can be a very picky eater, so I cant say that my food review will be very fair... but I wasnt impressed. Buffet style is great if you have a large variety of meals but a lot of them didnt look appealing!! They did themed nights which was good though. Again, theres no one worse than a picky eater but I will say they did the best fries I have ever had in my life. On the flip side to this, my partner absolutely loved the food and couldnt get enough of it. He attempted to try most things and found very little that he didnt like. The alcohol drinks were actually quite nice (we went all inclusive), however the bar shut at 12am and for us that was our night just starting, meaning we would have to then go spend more money at another place. But to be honest, its not that much of a big deal as you can drink as much as you want prior to that, which we certainly did. The entertainment was good, especially the bingo as my partner won twice in a row and I thought I did, turned out to be very wrong and had to do a traditional turkey dance on stage!! But it was short and sweet, afterwards the holiday reps would come and take you clubbing and theyd give you loads of buy one get one free tickets for the cocktails at the clubs. We dont have kids but Id like to mention that there was good childrens entertainment but it is all done outside so can get a tad cold. We didnt use many of the hotels facilities, I think it was just the pool which was nice so cant comment much on those. The staff were great, they made us feel welcomed and at ease. Couldnt ask for a better welcome reception either. The hotel itself is close to loads of shops, bars, restaurants and its pretty much next to the beach. It isnt central so youll need to get a taxi or bus to the centre and again, this wasnt an issue either. Hope this helps!!

    Disappointing

We had one week in Marmaris and so looking forward to a wonderful break. When we arrived at the hotel, I thought the front looked very dark and gloomy. We walked up two flights of stairs, there was a a ramp you could use. The reception was very dark and the lights were not on. The male receptionist was very polite, but could not really understand us. We had a lovely young man who carried our cases for us and we went up the lift, we then walked to the room. We were 158. yet another stairs to the door. When we got in the room smelt very bad and it was again dark and dingy. The bathroom was tiny with just a sink, toilet and tiny shower. I could have cried. The balcony had a fantastic view of the sea and the back of the kitchens with the extractor fans blowing the smell of cooked food (hence the really bad smell in our room) We also had a birds eye view of the bar area not too bad until we went to bed and the noise from the music and the bar were unbearable. Drinks were very poor, watered down (actually didn't think any alcohol was in them) and served in paper cups and later on in the evening served in plastic glass type which was slightly better. The walk up to the hotel from the street was very steep and we spoke with two other ladies who said that they were unable to leave as they would find it difficult to walk back up. The mini bar was a joke, two tiny bottles of water and two cartons of orange juice. The fridge was warm? The balcony door did not shut properly and we could not lock it! We had cartoons on the tv for our daughter which was great for her. We had air conditioning in the room, her bed was under this and after the first night we discovered that her pillow was saturated as the air con had leaked. Some of the waiters were great and the chefs were very friendly, but we had a bar manager and restaurant manager who we did not feel were very approachable. Our bed was dressed everyday and that was it! Wine at dinner could strip paint , but the beer was ok. We loved the food and there was a great selection of meats, pasta, traditional dishes and cheeses and fruit and deserts. We went on three trips, the boat trip, Cleopatra island and the water park all of which were a welcome relief to get out of the hotel. Our daughter said that she wanted to go to the kids club one day, the first day, it was closed and the second day the girl who was looking after the club was busy taking a picture of a turtle outside. She ignored our daughter and when we asked if the club was on she shrugged and said that there were no other kids. If there were no other kids then we would not have left her there anyway, but this girl obviously just wanted the day off. We paid good money for an all inclusive holiday and feel totally let down by the hotel and by Loveholidays who we booked through. This was definitely not a four star hotel and I would like to know who checked the facility?
