Good for familyThe hotel was built at the beach front with its own hot sand bath area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Next to the hot sand bath area was a indoor swimming pool. It will be good to jump in there after the 15 mins hot sand bath. You will feel that your whole body was so relaxing. It is a long history Japanese hotel but all things have maintained very keep and functional.

good view and staffthe location is away from station but roaming 20 min can reach. the room space with tatami is really big, the sand bath near the beach used until PM8:00, Dinner and breakfast are good. We enjoyed the melodious sound of ocean wave without traffic noise.

3 min walking to black sand bathAlthough this hotel doesn't have its own beach, the service definitely makes it up. The front desk manager Mr. Matsuzaki Setsuo speaks English and can give a lot of travel info including suggesting routes and time tables. Before we were able to check in the room, we decided to go for some sightseeings. The front desk manager then offered us clean hand towels and sun hats for the outings and checked the tidal times for us for our visits. When we came back, he already moved our luggages to our upgraded ocean view room. With this view, we were able to see the sunrise the next morning at around 5:10am, and the schools of flying fish. Some guests chose to watch the sunrise up on the top floor onsen, which opens at 4:00am to make this possible. It made up for the corridor's being a bit old, despite the rooms and the waiting area were tastefully decorated. The vanity desk shows a display of shesido skin care products, and is by the balcony so you can see the ocean view reflection at the same time. The room is a tatami Japanese style which is very appealing for us who are interested in their cultures. Because the dinner tables were all reserved by other guests, the front desk manager then called a taxi for us and recommended us a Japanese seafood restaurant near the Ibusuki train station. The buffet breakfast has a variety of local and western food, although more Japanese food, which were very interesting. He also helped us plan the next day activities, which were wonderful and when we arrived back at the hotel lobby to pick up our luggages, he offered us in the bar, ice creams, to wrap up our day, before he arranged another taxi, and waved us goodbye when we headed back to the train station to return to Kagoshima. The staff really made us feel very well treated and welcomed, and made our activities very well organised.

Nice sea view onsen bathIbusuki Kaijyo is just right beside the beach. The room is clean and large with nice seaview, you can hear the sounds of waves by sitting right beside the window. But the hotel is a bit old, not exactly as the picture shown. The staff are nice and the hotel itself has their own hot sand bath, but I didnt try it. I went to the one next door which is 3 mins away from the Hotel. They have a nice sea view onsen bath. I enjoyed it very much. There are bicycle for rent in front of the hotel and a supermarket only 5 mins walk.

Beautiful resortMy mum and I were on holiday in Ibusuki and we were completely swept off by the view and comfort this resort offered. We had a great time there, we love the onsen and the hot sand bath. The food was equally delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who need a holiday!
