  Hotel correcto, limpio y personal amable. Las vistas al lago son bonitas. Se escucha el tren que pasa cerca. El hotel forma parte de una estación de servicio - el acceso es directo desde la autovia. Habitaciones nuevas, camas buenas.

  viaje con nino

  Hemos tenido suerte con el tiempo amenazaba lluvias fuertes y hubo tan solo una pequeña llovizna y pudimos desayunar en su hermosa terraza junto al lago y estupendo para viajar con mascota por tener jardin que baja al lago

  Nice view but you really pay for it

  The hotel is in a lovely location but we felt that 100+ a night was quite a lot to pay for an Ibis no matter where it is. Breakfast was similarly overpriced at 16 and I found the offering at the buffet quite lacking, however they do have a half board option of breakfast and dinner for 26 which was a slightly better deal. The room was small but sufficient, as with all Ibis the bed was very comfy. Ill echo previous reviewers sentiment regarding the noise that comes from the air conditioner which seemed to do be quite loud for something that didnt do an amazing job of cooling the room. Also our room was at the very end of the corridor which probably meant a better view however also meant very patchy wifi. The lake is close by but its hard to access by foot, although there is a small gate at the far western end of the car park that leads to a path that winds down to the lakefront. In hindsight Id recommend driving and parking around Toschling train station which seemed to be free and was close to a wee public bathing pontoon.

  Very disappointed about panoramic view

  I booked that hotel because I wanted to have a nice view on Woerthersee, so it was also promised. But when I came to room and I opened the curtains, I was totally shocked. I had a view on high trees with wildly grown branches and bushes. Then I went to reception and ask what is going on and that I booked a room with panoramic view on lake and that I don't mind to pay more, but they didn't have nothing available. The lady on reception was very nice and she excuses that and said that the land in front hotel is not property of the hotel and that whose ever trees are don't want cut tree branches. I was very disappointed and I will never ever be back. I am posting this because I don't want others to be so disappointed and one night was 138 eur for 3star hotel with tree view. Hotel shouldn't promote that as Lakeview room.

  Still perfect!

  This hotel is very popular and it's easy to see why. I had a great time there last Winter and it's even better in the Summer! This hotel is part of the building that also includes a Marché restaurant and a Burger King. It is located at the rest stop next to the highway and the hotel doesn't hide that fact. If you come to the hotel, it means you have a car and it's just a 5-minute ride to Velden or Portschach and a 15-minute ride to Klagenfurt. You're close to everything, which is very convenient! The best thing about this hotel is the amazing view over the lake. It is especially charming at night, when the Pyramidenkogel tower changes colours. And if there is moonlight on top of that, it's extremely romantic. It is also very peaceful and quiet at night (if you're lucky with the neighbours, that is). In order to get the best view, you should definitely book a balcony room on the top floor. They are a bit pricier, but totally worth it! You won't regret paying a few extra euros when you take in that view. Also keep in mind that the hotel is very popular in Summer (I was there for 4 nights and on 3 of them the hotel was completely full), so you should book well in advance. Another strength of this hotel is its staff such wonderful people! They are all very polite, friendly, helpful and nice. It was a pleasure to interact with them at all times. I also recommend the buffet breakfast. There is an egg station where the cooks make eggs to order and they are heavenly! On top of that, you can sit on the terrace outside and get some more of that beautiful view. It is an Ibis hotel, so there's no luxury, but you have everything you need in the room and it's perfectly clean. What more do you need? After such a good experience, I can't wait to return!
